Netwalking: Wandering wetlands in Lewes    Get ready to stretch your legs and spot some local wildlife – September’s Netwalking takes us on a scenic loop around the Cockshut restoration project in Lewes.  We’ll kick off with a coffee at The Depot before setting out on a 90-minute walk that takes us through Lewes and out towards the newly restored wetlands. Along the way, we’ll pass the ‘rewiggled’ Cockshut stream, part of a project designed to tackle invasive species and boost biodiversity in the Ouse Valley.   Our guide, Bonamy Waddell (Founder of Bon Insight ), will lead the way – sharing stories about the landscape and pointing out the wildlife that now calls this rare chalk stream home. Bonamy is perhaps one of our most well-walked members, having completed a six-day trek up Kilimanjaro at the end of last year!   We’ll take it at a steady pace, pausing to spot kingfishers, egrets and maybe even birds of prey, and giving you the chance to chat, make new connections and enjoy being outdoors with fellow Chamber members.   Netwalking has been a highlight of the Chamber events calendar for over four years, taking us everywhere from seafront trails to bluebell woods and Brighton’s iconic coastline. It’s more than just a walk – it’s a chance to build genuine connections, get inspired and discover the stories of Sussex’s landscapes.   FAQs What's the refund policy? Places are limited, and events are usually oversubscribed. Please give two working days’ notice via email for a refund* or you’ll be required to pay for your place in full. *Eventbrite booking fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or there are duplicate charges. What happens if it rains? We still go ahead, please wear appropriate clothing. Can I attend if I am not a member of the Chamber? If you have never been a member of the Chamber you can book and join as a guest at two of our events (just one Chamber Breakfast). After this, you will need to join the Chamber to enjoy the benefits of membership. If you'd like to join the Chamber you can find out more on our website.
