Scared of Art? is a weekly course designed for individuals aged 50 and above who have a desire to explore the world of art but lack confidence in their abilities. This six-week program aims to provide participants with a solid foundation in painting and drawing, gradually enhancing their skills and boosting their self-assurance. Throughout the course, a variety of mediums will be utilized, allowing attendees to experiment and discover their preferred artistic style. Additionally, each participant will have the opportunity to create their own personal sketchbook, fostering a sense of individuality and creativity. To ensure a seamless learning experience, all necessary materials will be provided. Scared of Art? is an ideal opportunity for those who have always wanted to try their hand at art but have been held back by self-doubt. Get ready for an unforgettable evening of celebration at The Performance Path Party (NEW DATE) in Eastbourne. This exclusive event will take place at Printers Playhouse, located at 49A Grove Road, Eastbourne, BN21 4TX, on November 24, 2023.
Join local dance artist Yanaëlle Thiran and her talented collaborators as they commemorate the completion of The Performance Path 2023 project. This remarkable achievement was made possible through funding from Arts Council England and East Sussex Arts Partnership. The project also received additional support from organizations such as Age Concern Eastbourne, Eastbourne Alive, Eastbourne Walking Festival, Eastbourne Dance Space, Printers Playhouse, and Towner.
Indulge in a captivating evening that includes a film screening, book launch, and an energizing silent disco! As a token of appreciation for your generous support, donations can be made on this booking page or during the event. In return, you will receive a raffle ticket, giving you a chance to win a coveted photo book or stunning photo collages of the mesmerizing performance trails.
Your donations will go towards supporting the Performance Path project and the local charity, Age Concern Eastbourne. A suggested donation of £5 is encouraged, although any amount is greatly appreciated. Join the small group workshops in Eastbourne at Ditzy Media to enhance your Instagram skills as an artist. This elementary level workshop, in collaboration with local business Ditzy Media, aims to help you maximize the potential of Instagram for your creative practice. Prior to attending, ensure that you have the Instagram app downloaded on your mobile phone and set up your Instagram account. If you have a laptop, it would be beneficial to bring it along for the Meta Business Suite demonstration. Downloading the Meta Business Suite app is also recommended, but note that it requires a Facebook account. Come prepared with a notepad and any questions you may have. It would also be useful to have up to five images on your phone that you can use to post as a reel or multiple image post on your Instagram account. The workshop fee is £5 for BMN members and £20 for non-members. Payment details will be sent to you via email prior to the event. Please be aware that the meeting room on the ground floor is accessible, but the downstairs toilet does not provide wheelchair access. Mark your calendars for November 17, 2023, and arrive promptly 10 minutes before the start of the event.
