This free trail walking program, organized by Get Your Tail on the Trail, allows participants to discover the park's significant contributions to America's Industrial Revolution and explore its industrial ruins. The Health and Heritage program provides an opportunity to meet new people, learn fascinating facts, and discover different areas of the D&L trail.
The series consists of two captivating walks, taking place on the first Sunday of every month at 1 pm at Hugh Moore Park. The first walk, HMP History Walk: River & Canal, focuses on the park's connection to the Lehigh River and Canal and its role in driving industrial development. Participants will gain insights into the park's flora and fauna, the locktender's house, and Island Park. Scheduled for April, June, August, and October, these walks promise to be both informative and enjoyable.
The second walk, HMP History Walk: Industry & Iron, explores the park's industrial heritage, shedding light on the Lucy Furnace and Glendon Iron Works, the Abbott Street industrial complex, and telegraph communications. Scheduled for May, July, September, and November, these walks offer a unique opportunity to delve into the park's intriguing past.

Join Art Rats at Radical Roasters in Easton for an engaging and creative workshop on collage and zine making. Immerse yourself in the world of zines, those charming DIY mini-magazines, and explore the art of collage as you create your very own masterpiece. Zines and collages offer a unique outlet for self-expression, allowing you to embrace messiness, add a personal touch, delve into facts, or simply have fun.
During the workshop, you will learn various folding and binding techniques for your zines, receive inspiration from examples and ideas, and receive guidance to bring your vision to life. All materials will be provided, although feel free to bring extra scissors, old magazines, or any specific items you'd like to incorporate. No prior experience is required, as this workshop welcomes all skill levels.
In addition to the workshops, Art Rats will provide additional equipment, such as a badge maker, relief printing press, guillotine, and linocut tools, which will be available from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. The drop-in session operates on a sliding scale, ensuring affordability for all participants based on materials used and time spent. It's important to note that you don't need to purchase a workshop ticket to attend the drop-in session.
