During the archery session, participants will use thumb draw technique with archery thumb rings and traditional bows, adding an authentic touch to the experience. Please note that all artwork created during the workshop will need to remain at the venue for a minimum of 7 days for proper drying. Artwork can be picked up between 7-14 days after the event date.
Choose from a variety of options for your masterpiece. Our 10X20 artist-grade canvas is a popular choice, offering a high gloss finish thanks to its gessoed surface. This option is particularly suitable for beginners.
For those interested in experimenting with pours, we offer the 8X10 artist canvas pour. You can choose between a single, double, or triple panel pour. These canvas options have a smooth gesso finish and are ideal for beginners in the art of pouring. The double or triple canvas pour allows for a stunning flowing design when the canvases are lined up and poured simultaneously.
If you prefer a more unique canvas option, our 10X20 birch panel pour is an excellent choice. These high-quality panels are made in Canada by Apollon-Gotrick and come with a sturdy 3/4 frame for hanging.
Alternatively, you can opt for a 4-piece coaster set pour. This option includes four blank ceramic coasters with separate self-adhesive cork backings. Once your artwork is dry, use our Liquitex High Gloss Varnish kit to add a glossy sealer for a professional finish. Please note that round and hexagon shapes will be available starting in December 2023.
Lastly, you can create your own functional artwork with our 10-inch birch clock pour. Pour paint onto the round Apollon-Gotrick artist-grade birch panel, and we will provide a take-home kit with the clock mechanism, arms, numbers, and an easy-to-use template for applying the numbers correctly. Please note that the assembly of the clock is not part of the workshop, but it is designed to be easily put together. Black and gold clock parts are available at the event, and the panels come pre-drilled with a center hole.

With the onset of winter, many cultures incorporate the concepts of light and illumination into their rituals and celebrations as a means of seeking answers to the questions that trouble them, particularly during dusk.
This two-day festival offers a wide range of workshops and performance building sessions focused on word collecting, including poetry and narratives, as well as movement collecting, such as dance, improvisational scores, and choreography, all centered around the theme of illumination. Participants will have the opportunity to attend workshops in poetry, text, and movement, as well as warm-up movement sessions suitable for all levels of experience.
The festival schedule includes designated studio time for creating, networking with other artists, and culminates with an Open Mic/Open Floor showing.
