Taking place at the Reston Regional Library in Reston, Virginia, this class provides a comfortable and welcoming setting for aspiring comedians. Whether you are new to stand-up comedy or have previous experience, you are invited to participate. However, there is no pressure to perform if you prefer to observe and soak in the atmosphere. Don't forget to bring a pencil or pen and a pad for note-taking. During the class, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills in two different rounds: the premise-punchline or storytelling round, and the Crowd-work or storytelling or Late Night T.V.-Jokes round (where you will learn how to write a Late Night T.V. joke). Our experienced instructors will teach you the fundamentals of stand-up comedy and share valuable insights gained over decades in the industry. Additionally, this class offers a chance to connect with like-minded individuals and break away from your daily routine. As spaces fill up quickly, it is advisable to reserve a spot in advance.
