Join Judy Patterson at the Scotts Valley Community Center in Scotts Valley for an exciting event called "Let's Paint With Fall Colors like Metallic Bronze, Copper, Gold and More!" This is your chance to create a beautiful masterpiece using these stunning metallic colors. All necessary supplies will be provided, and you'll have the opportunity to paint on a 12”x12” canvas. Don't forget to bring a container, such as a cardboard box or plastic container, to safely transport your masterpiece home with you. It's important to wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting paint on. The event will start promptly at 1:00 pm, so please arrive on time. In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, the start time may be subject to change. If you have purchased tickets for others, please make sure to share these details with them, as the organizer does not have their contact information. Please note that tickets are non-refundable, as materials will be purchased and prepared based on ticket sales. With GLP1 ads and headlines dominating the media and diabetes and pre-diabetes diagnoses becoming more common in doctors offices, it’s more important than ever to understand how to tune out the noise of diet culture and hone in on why it's essential that we pay attention to our body’s evolving ability to regulate blood sugar. When we think of blood sugar, we often think of “good” and “bad” foods regulating and spiking how we feel during the day. We think of diabetes, obesity, and what our society has deemed “looks” healthy. On Friday, April 25, join us for an immersive 1440 Community Education Event & Discovery Dinner where you will gain knowledge to Take Control of Your Blood Sugar. Instructed by 1440 Adjunct Faculty member and Functional Medicine Clinician Darla Booth, DC, CMFC, you’ll learn about the systemic influence of blood sugar regulation on our bodies - impacting not only our weight and body composition but also inflammation, sleep, stress and anxiety, tissue health, heart disease, hormone balance, and even dementia. With continuous glucose monitors now available for purchase without prescription, we have new tools for optimizing our health through all the stages of our lives. Discover ways to shift from making shame-based decisions about what we put in our bodies into making decisions rooted in data. SONGS WITH FRIENDS: A seated listening performance, is a songwriter's round style performance featuring the talents of James Durbin, Dylan Rose & Anthony Arya. This night will feature 2 sets, the 1st is a (Seated) Originals set performing their songs and telling the stories that inspired them, followed by a (Dancing) Covers set of classic rock and more. General Admission is $20. This is an all ages show - 6pm to 9pm - Upstaris in The Loft at Bruno's Bar & Grill in Scotts Valley, CA. This will be their 3rd performance together, with the last 2 selling out quite quickly.
