Alpha at BPAC starts on October 3, 2025 and will run for 8 weeks on Friday evenings. For the first one, we are going to meet at 6:30 PM to enjoy dinner as we get to know each other. BC Archaeology Forum Co-hosted by SFU Archaeology & BCAPA The Department of Archaeology at Simon Fraser University, in partnership with the British Columbia Association of Professional Archaeologists, is pleased to announce the return of the BC Archaeology Forum this fall. The forum will be held on Saturday, October 18, at SFU's Burnaby Campus, the day after the SFU archaeology student societies' PalaeoOlympics event. It is our hope that you may be able to attend both events. The Archaeology forum will feature two to three keynote speakers (soon to be announced) as well as brief, lightening-round style talks from a variety of perspectives from those engaged in archaeological research in BC. Talks will be centered on the forum's intertwined themes of 'collaboration' and 'innovation'. We invite you to present to the audience on projects you have been involved with that feature success through collaboration as well as innovative methods or techniques that could be used to benefit broader archaeological work in British Columbia.
