is an annual running carnival that dedicates to introduce happiness and health, and bring our community together, meanwhile to support our local charity for goodwill. This year, we are continuously running for health and supporting Burnaby Hospital Foundation to improve our community health infrastructure.
Join the hottest race and funniest event in the summer! Run for health and run for our community! Enjoy family fun! the 8th Burnaby Lake Run will be at Burnaby Lake Regional Park on Aug 24th, 2025!
Our celebration this year features 10K and 5K races for adult runners; and 2.5 K kids race for runners of 12 or younger. We also have Family Fun Run for families and friends. Family festival will be going from 9AM to 3PM. Enjoy the foods, games, and performance!

Come check out Arts Central (our student hub), the FASS buildings where you will be taking classes, and meet other students as well as our FASS Peer Mentors. Our FASS Peer Mentors will be taking you (and up to 15 other new students) on a tour of FASS and guiding you along as you discover SFU's beautiful Burnaby campus. We are only offering 6 tours, so capacity is limited.

in the Academic Quadrangle at SFU Burnaby campus.

Directions to AQ 3020
From Transportation Centre:
In order to get from SFU Transportation Centre @ Bay 2 to AQ3020, head southeast towards the Rotunda/Campus Security and cross Gaglardi Way via the crosswalk. Once across the street, keep heading south under the overhead walkway. There will be an elevator on the right hand (West) side of this crosswalk. Once inside the elevator, press number 3. Once on the third floor, head east (i.e. left) and exit the building (automatic doors). Continue heading east past the Bennett Library (on your left) and into the Academic Quadrangle. Once through the automated doors, proceed to the elevators ( past the glass panel) located on your right and press number 3. Once on the 3rd floor, exit the elevator, turn right, then right again to enter the main AQ hallway. Once in the hallway, turn left (proceed North). Proceed down the hallway, heading North towards Images Theatre (RCB building). At the end of the hallway, turn left, and AQ 3020 is located on your left, immediately by the automated doors.
From Bus Loop:
In order to get from the Bus Loop to AQ3020, proceed into Blusson Hall and head straight down the hallway into Saywell Hall. At the end of the hallway, by the stairs on your right, take the elevator down to the AQ 3000 level. Once in the elevator press M. Exit the elevator, turn right, and proceed past the Renaissance Café and the Education building, visible on your right, and continue towards the end of the AQ hallway. AQ 3020 is located past the Images Theatre (Robert C. Brown [RCB] building), at the very end of the hallway, on your left, immediately by the automated doors.

: Fans can enter through the west gym lobby located on the 100 level west of the Lorne Davies complex. Gates & concession open 1 hour prior to the event.
TICKETS:
General admission tickets are available to purchased in person for $13 but you can save money if GA tickets are purchased online through Eventbrite.
Senior tickets will need to be purchase in person for $12.
Children 8 & under can check-in at the ticket gate for free access.
SFU & FIC students can check-in for free by scanning their school ID card or member ID barcode that is saved in the SFU Rec App (must registered prior).
Cashless event (Debit, Visa & Mastercard only) available at gate.
No assigned seating. First come, first serve.

Set for Sunday, October 26th, this thrilling race promises a day of fun, excitement, and a little bit of spooky. Moreover, aim your eyes at the prizes! So, grab your friends, lace up your sneakers, costume up, and get ready for an unforgettable run in Burnaby, BC.
We also have the Mini Monster Dash 400-metre run designed especially for our little monsters. Perfect for our mini goblins, superheroes, ghosts and creatures who want to participate and run the track in Swangard Stadium in a festive, fun, and safe environment. Costume is strongly encouraged.
When you register, you’ll receive a special package that includes custom souvenirs for all participants, goodie bags for the Mini Monster Dash kids, a race bib with chip timing for the 5K, and pre-and post-event refreshments. It’s the perfect way to kick off an amazing race day!
