The New Westminster Police Department is seeking volunteer coaches for it's annual summer soccer school. This event takes place at Queens Park in New Westminster, and runs from July 14th to July 18th, from 830am to 130pm daily. (Must be 11 years of age or older) The event will host approximately 300 kids aged five to ten years old. Youth coaches will be responsible for working closely with a police officer to coach teams of kids through the week. The youth coaches are responsible for promoting safety, fun, teamwork and overall a positive summer soccer school experience. In order to register, a youth coach must commit to all five days of the event. Come support your local Vancouver team, Terminal City, as they smash into other humans on roller skates! This time we’re playing two teams in one afternoon - Divergence Roller Derby (Game 1) and Jet City from Washington (Game 2). Come watch one game or both! Doors open at 11:30am, with the first game starting at 12:10pm and the second game starting at 2:30pm. Snacks, drinks, and merch are available to purchase. Entry is by donation, which is always optional - and no one is ever turned away for lack of funds. Our league is entirely volunteer run, so any proceeds help us continue to play, train, and host games!
