Founded in 2018, Butchery Team Canada (BTC) aims to spotlight Canada's exceptional butchery talent on the global stage at the World Butchers' Challenge.
"The World Butchers’ Challenge is a butchery competition of epic proportions, with teams from across the globe battling it out for the title of world’s best. As described by the World Butchers' Challenge Website it’s: “The ultimate mash-up of passion, sport, food, skill, tension, rivalry, and camaraderie, making for one compelling, thrilling, and relevant experience."
Butchery Team Canada made its world debut in 2022 at the World Butchers’ Challenge in Sacramento, USA. In March of this year, the team competed in Paris and placed 5th out of 15 countries, missing 1st place by just 1.5 points. This remarkable performance has solidified Canada’s place among the world’s top butchers!
Now, we’re building toward the 2028 World Butchers’ Challenge with renewed focus and ambition. With team members located across the country, training requires significant planning, travel, and financial support. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, partners, and supporters like you, Team Canada continues to train with purpose — and compete with confidence.
