Get Dancing here in Nuneaton Library! Wednesday 19th February 10am -11.30am Intergenerational Workshop Autin Dance Theatre are incredibly excited to be working in partnership with Warwickshire Libraries on their Cultural Beats Programme, offering local people in Warwickshire the chance to move and dance in their local libraries.
From this summer until International Dance Day next year on Tues 29th April 2025, we will be delivering FREE, fun and accessible creative workshops for EVERYONE across the county. No experience necessary, just an interest to give it a go and get moving!
The programme will also culminate with free events on International Dance Day with a celebration of dances and street games from around the world! Join us at Nuneaton Library where Jason Buck will be performing Charles Dickens' classic, A Christmas Carol.
The classic story of Christmas ghosts and Scrooge the miser's redemption, presented in the way it was originally intended - told live to an audience. Award-winning storyteller, Jason Buck, brings this favourite to life, with humour and chills for young and old - traditional storytelling for modern audiences. The performance will be two hours long, which will include a 15 minute interval where free refreshments will be provided. Doors open at 6:45pm for a 7pm start. This event is suitable for adults and families (9+) About Jason Buck Jason has been a performer most of his adult life, including gurning, comedy and sword swallowing, but his passion lies in stories – ‘there's nothing like getting lost in a story, the pictures in your head are better than film’. Jason has written and published seven illustrated collections of stories and has won prizes for his storytelling.
A teller of tall tales, a weaver of whimsies and a fashioner of fables, Jason draws on traditional favourites and new ideas. His stories are told in the oldest and best ways – as live performances for modern audiences.
