Whakatū Girls Rugby Trust, Super Sevens Girls Rugby Camp & Game Series Come join us for a fun-filled day at our first ever WGRT Super Sevens Girls Rugby Camp & Game Series being held here in Whakatū Nelson! Each wāhine/girl that participates in a WGRT Camp can expect to be welcomed to a supportive environment where she will make new friends and teammates. She will learn basic aspects of the game of rugby Sevens and then be able to put them to use in a fun series of games over the afternoon. We will be running junior and senior session's seperate but alongside one another, and will keep the age grades seperate for the games as well. Caring and qualified coaches will lead a structured and fun day where girls build confidence and learn the game of Sevens in a safe and inclusive environment. Coaching staff will demonstrate how fueling the mind and body helps us grow, and the coaches will empower the girls to reach their potential through sport. Girls will benefit from seeing and receiving guidance and instruction from other female players that have played in various levels of the game. If they can see it, they can be it! Exciting stories in 90 minutes , fun facts and videos from the risky experiments of the past to the new trends of the present, with the help of local dance artists . This full evening “one man show” of Jani Lakatos was created as one of the episodes for the series “Dance and..” in cooperation with the National dance Theatre of Hungary. The other episodes are: Dance and.. Creativity Dance and.. Technology Dance and.. Health The show debuted with great success in 2015 and was running sold out in the last 10 years. The easy and radiant style of the presenter with the educational but entertaining content make this 90 minute presentation an exciting INFO-tainment experience to the audience. The material combines art history with scientific studies of anthropology, sociology and psychology in a light hearted easy to consume manner. For the purpose of deeper engagement with the community, we invite 2-3 different local dance artists/groups for each event, to illustrate certain segments of the storyline performing live on stage. About the Presenter: Jani Lakatos is a NIVO awarded educator and choreographer, a former master professor of the Hungarian Dance University, currently living in Nelson BC. After a national level carrier in gymnastics, he became a key talent in the European cultural life as dancer, teacher and creator. His expertise grew further working with the USA Gymnastic team, the Beijing Dance Academy, the Houston Ballet and on Broadway.
