The musical partnership between the extraordinary Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser and brilliant Californian cellist Natalie Haas spans the full spectrum between intimate chamber music and ecstatic dance energy. Their collaboration has led to dazzling teamwork, driving rhythms, and a shared passion for improvising on the melodies of Scottish tunes.
Acclaimed by the San Francisco Examiner as "the Michael Jordan of Scottish fiddling," Fraser has a concert and recording career spanning more than 30 years. His film credits include solo performances on the soundtracks of The Last of the Mohicans and Titanic. Featured on CBS Sunday Morning, A Prairie Home Companion, and Mountain Stage, he has also made guest appearances with The Chieftains and performed as featured soloist along with Itzhak Perlman at New York's Lincoln Center. In 2011, he was inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame.
Haas, a graduate of the Juilliard School of Music, is one of the most sought after cellists in traditional music today. She has performed and recorded with a who's who of the fiddle world including Mark O'Connor, Natalie MacMaster, Irish supergroups Solas and Altan, Liz Carroll, Dirk Powell, Brittany Haas, Darol Anger, Jeremy Kittel, Hanneke Cassel, Laura Cortese, and many more.
This seemingly unlikely pairing of fiddle and cello is the fulfillment of a long-standing musical dream for Fraser. His search eventually led him to find a cellist who could help return the cello to its historical role at the rhythmic heart of Scottish dance music, where it stood for hundreds of years before being relegated to the orchestra. The duo's debut recording, Fire & Grace, won the coveted the Scots Trad Music "Album of the Year" award, the Scottish equivalent of a Grammy. Since its release, the two have gone on to record five more critically acclaimed albums that blend a profound understanding of the Scottish tradition with cutting-edge string explorations.
Over the last 20 years of playing festivals and concert halls across the world, they have set the standard for fiddle and cello in traditional music. They continue to thrill audiences internationally with their virtuosic playing, and the joyful spontaneity and sheer physical presence of their music.

Your journey begins with an introduction to your chaperone elf who will lead you on your enchanted journey through the magical gardens into Santa’s Workshop . Here you will meet the most important man himself, Santa & his wonderful team of elves , Mrs Claus, the Christmas Fairy , the sweetie elves, along with other special surprise characters .
Lots of fun activities include making reindeer food, helping load the sleigh in preparation for Christmas Eve, making Christmas decoration crafts. Children will check Santa’s Scroll with his chief elf for their name.

Join artist Grace Noel in her studio at Grace Noel Art in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe to celebrate the year of the water rabbit and enhance your relief printmaking skills. This class is designed to take your skills to the next level and is the perfect follow-up to Grace's Woodblock Carving and Printmaking Private Lesson. If you are interested in the Water Rabbit class, it is recommended that you first take the Wood Block Carving class Private lesson. All class supplies will be provided, but if you already have your own tools, please bring them with you. Carving tools can also be purchased on-site, in addition to the cost of admission.
During this class, you will have the opportunity to learn about and draw the Chinese zodiac sign for 2023, the Rabbit. Then, you will carve your drawing onto a 4x6 woodblock and print two layers to create the final image. Please note that the print will need to dry for 2 days.
