The latest digital tools for engineering biology can generate millions of predictions about proteins, microbes, and cells in minutes. Turning those predictions into real-world solutions, however, requires the ability to build and precisely test living systems at a massive scale. That’s where GIFS comes in. Join the Global Institute for Food Security (GIFS) at the University of Saskatchewan on Sept. 23 for an exclusive look inside Canada’s first biofoundry built to advance agriculture and food innovation. At this hybrid seminar, you’ll have opportunities to: Learn how biology , lab automation , and machine learning are enabling high-throughput workflows to scale and accelerate innovative research and development. Explore the leading-edge technologies and technical services GIFS has established to support strain engineering, cell growth and phenotyping, and comprehensive proteomics and metabolomics. Apply for a discount of up to $5,000 on strain engineering and DNA assembly services. Details and eligibility will be shared with all attendees. Joining us in-person? Sign up for a complimentary lunch and tour of our nearby facility following the seminar. Questions? Contact communciations@gifs.ca . Are you interested in data-driven health research in Saskatchewan? The Health Research Data Platform - Saskatchewan (HDRP-SK) is the province’s first fully integrated multi-agency data access platform for health research. Over the last several years, the HRDP-SK team has worked with health system partners to create a streamlined, transparent process to support researchers with access to health data. We have collaborated nationally to further support inter-jurisdictional research via the Health Data Research Network Canada (HDRN Canada). This event will help you learn how to access health data to support your research projects.
