But a masked killer is hunting these carefree partiers one by one. Who would ruin Murder Night with murder? Can Cecil and Tamika solve the mystery before the murderer has gotten them all? The Norwalk Seaport Association has owned, restored and maintained Sheffield Island Lighthouse since 1986 and is the official U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Friends group for the Norwalk Islands. This three (3) hour excursion begins with a narrated tour of the Norwalk harbor and its three historic Norwalk lighthouses, ending with a one hour stop at Sheffield Island Lighthouse. Sheffield Island with its historic lighthouse, beaches and wildlife refuge offers abundant summer fun for visitors. From May through September, visitors can board the Seaport Association's 45-foot C.J. Toth Catamaran for a harbor cruise ending with a one hour stop at Sheffield Island. Tour the Lighthouse, observe wildlife in their natural habitat in the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge, hunt for shells along the beach, dine on a picnic lunch, play on the lawns around the Lighthouse, and simply have a good time. During this unforgettable adventure tour of Sheffield Island and Lighthouse, you'll step directly from the boat into the past. The tower section of the Lighthouse is currently closed at this time. We invite our guests to use our newly installed antique telescope to capture magnificent views of the city and Sound. Round trip time is approximately 3 hours. On a sunset cruise time seems to slow down giving you the opportunity to unwind and toast the end of the day or celebrate the end of a busy week! The Seaport’s popular Sunset Cruise slowly cruises through outer Norwalk Harbor as the Captain’s Mate tells stories of merchants and sailors that have used this waterway for centuries. Learn how Native Americans and English settlers enjoyed the bounty of Long Island Sound and how captains of industry used this area to develop trade routes that went as far as the West Indies. The narrative gives a new understanding of Norwalk historically, and also reflects the importance of this scenic harbor today. As the vessel travels into Long Island Sound it will give passengers a close-up view of several of the Norwalk’s islands and the beautiful homes built on them. The cruise also passes three historic lighthouses, Peck Ledge, Green Ledge, and, the maritime icon of Connecticut, Sheffield Island Lighthouse. Architecturally stunning the Sheffield Island Lighthouse is a perfect example of Victorian stone masonry. Green Ledge and Peck Ledge are fine examples of spark plug lighthouses, of which only 33 remain in the United States. The view of these three lighthouses up close as the sun begins to set is magical. Guests will travel in safety and comfort on board the vessel owned by the Norwalk Seaport Association. Passengers can eat, drink, and be merry on the sunset cruise because alcoholic beverages and snacks are allowed, just don’t forget to bring plastic cups and openers! We’re thrilled to announce that we are partnering with Greens Ledge Lighthouse with the unique opportunity to tour both Sheffield Island Lighthouse as well as Greens Ledge Lighthouse! A little bit about Greens Ledge Lighthouse. It was first proposed in 1889 to help mariners through the west entrance to Norwalk Harbor, Greens Ledge Light was constructed at the western end of a long and dangerous shoal extending from Sheffield Island. Completed in 1902, Greens Ledge Light towers nearly 100 feet above Long Island Sound. In 1933, more than 30,000 tons of protective rocks from the excavation of Radio City Music Hall were added to the riprap foundation. Over one hundred years later Greens Ledge Light continues to shine as an active aid to navigation. Greens Ledge has just completed a massive renovation project and reopened to the public in 2022. Guests will be given a tour of Sheffield Island Lighthouse that was constructed in 1868. Guests can also observe the wildlife in their natural habitat in the Stewart B. His first Netflix special, Sweet & Juicy, released in September 2022 and was produced and directed by Ali Wong. He was a featured stand-up on HBO’s “2 Dope Queens” special and also wrote for the ABC show “Fresh Off the Boat.” Sheng resides in Los Angeles and in his time off, he enjoys exploring botanical gardens and discovering new ways to snack.
