In this workshop, students will learn the basics of working with fine silver filigree wire and how to utilize this in their work. Participants will learn how to produce various twisted wire patterns made of thin gauge wire and how to create basic filigree shapes to build designs from or to utilize as accents or borders. Some jewelry soldering experience is suggested. Due to the fine nature of this technique, should be able to functionally use tweezers. Learn how to use the CNC vinyl cutter for screenprinting at Prototype PGH! In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of how to send vector designs to the vinyl cutter and how to take vinyl stencils, adhere them to screens, and then screenprint. Each participant will leave with their own screenprinted poster of the Prototype logo. After attending this workshop, Prototype members will be cleared to use the vinyl cutter and screenprinting equipment at both of our two locations. $10/person  No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
