Dubbed “The guitar queen with a silken touch” by The Independent, Amanda has appeared as a soloist in the USA, South America and throughout Europe. In the UK venues include the South Bank, Wigmore Hall, St George’s Bristol, King’s Place & The Sage Gateshead. Her highly acclaimed performances are always noted for their sensitive musicality, fluid technique, and ability to draw the audience in to her world Amanda’s first guitar teacher was Alexander Levtov, who she spent seven years with from the age of 7. She then went on to study with Charles Ramirez at the Junior Department of the Royal College of Music, as a scholarship student. Amanda then carried on to do her music degree at the RCM, as a Foundation Scholar, continuing with Mr Ramirez and then with Jakob Lindberg and Gary Ryan.

Sebastian-Benedict Flore
, born in Rome, began his piano studies at the age of five. He studied for five years at the Centre for Young Musicians with Francis Reneau and is currently in his final year of study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in the studio of Katya Apekisheva. He has won various prizes, including the third prize in the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe’s Junior Intercollegiate Piano Competition and, most recently, first prize in the Liszt Society’s International Piano Competition. In demand as a solo and chamber musician, he has also performed in some of London’s most prestigious venues, including Milton Court, the Barbican Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall.

Please join us for a fun evening filled with flowers at the
Old Westminster Winery
, and leave with a beautiful floral bouquet! Flowered is thrilled to be hosting this basic flower arranging class on July 24, 2025 from 5:30 until 7:00 pm. The class will be held in a Private Summer Cabana, providing a shaded and comfortable space. We will be seated at a beautifully set table where you can savor seasonal wines and wood-fired dishes while enjoying the comfort and privacy of our own personal cabana.
This class is a fun way to learn about flowers and basic floral design using locally grown flowers, foraged greenery and store-bought flowers. All materials are provided including flowers, a large mason jar and clippers. Participants take home their finished bouquets. Students are encouraged to explore their own style of design in this hands-on class. Classes typically last about 1.5 hours. Class size is limited to 12 to allow for plenty of time for hands-on practice, arranging and selection of flowers.

St Mary le Strand (The "Jewel" of the Strand) plays host to the third
Strand International Piano Series
, further to its launch to great acclaim in the 2022-23 season.
The theme of this year's series will be Debussy's Preludes. Composed between 1909 and 1913, these are testament to Debussy's innovative approach to piano music and his mastery of impressionistic techniques. The two books of preludes, each containing twelve pieces, showcase Debussy's ability to evoke vivid imagery, moods, and atmospheres through music.

Martin Cousin
is now regarded as one of the most exceptional pianists of his generation, having been awarded 1st Prize at the 2005 Ettore Pozzoli International Piano Competition (Seregno, Italy) and Gold Medal at the 2003 Royal Over-Seas League Music Competition (London).
Martin has appeared regularly in the major British musical venues since graduating from the Royal College of Music, making his London solo debut at the Purcell Room in 1998. Numerous solo recitals followed, notably at the Wigmore Hall in 2001,2005 and 2011. He has performed as concerto soloist with the London Philharmonic, Halle, Royal Philharmonic, Philharmonia and BBC Concert Orchestras.
