While costumes are not mandatory, they are highly encouraged to fully embrace the Eurovision spirit. The Multi-Arts Pavilion is a unique multi-purpose space that will provide an unforgettable viewing experience. With state-of-the-art projectors, the concert will be bigger and better than ever before. The event will take place on Saturday, May 11th from 5-9pm. Wheelchair accessibility is available, along with flashing lights for performances. MAP mima also provides amenities such as accessible parking bays and all-gender restrooms, ensuring inclusivity for all attendees. Please note that parking at MAP mima is limited. There is a designated carpark near the Cockle Creek Boat Ramp, with a portion reserved for boat trailers. Alternative parking is available on Park Road, near Speers Point Pool, followed by a short walk down the promenade. Two accessible carparks are also available at MAP mima. Experience the enchanting "Dingo in the Dark" performance, presented by students from St Paul’s Catholic College Aboriginal dance group at the Multi-Arts Pavilion (MAP mima) in Speers Point, Lake Macquarie. This interactive storytime, based on the book by Sally Morgan, follows Dingo's fear of the dark and his need for the Sun to keep him safe. Witness how his friends come together to help him feel secure as night approaches. Children aged 3-8 will have the opportunity to create their own Australian animal shadow puppet to take home. The event consists of two sessions on May 18, 2024: the first session, from 10:00 to 10:30 am, includes art-making outdoors followed by a performance inside The Cube from 10:30 to 10:45 am. The second session, from 10:45 to 11:15 am, involves art-making outside, culminating in a performance inside The Cube from 11:15 to 11:30 am.
