“Only Art & Beaver Will Save Us” nvART & BEAVER 2 DAY WORKSHOP Imagination is the key to unlocking the door to what is possible, within ourselves and in the biosphere nvJoin Nick Viney and Dorette Engi in a 2-day act of wild creativity for women.(Men, we love you too! Click here to express an interest in joining us on our other days) Experience Nature recovery inside and out. Reignite and empower your creativity to become part of and aid the world's regenerative power. Use your hands to build and make beautiful things. Grow in confidence, flourish and find your voice through fulfilment. Address and honour your fears for our future. Sit with and welcome your Eco-anxiety and learn how to use it as fuel for your creativity and thriving. Allow that creative spark to erupt into freely flowing, productively and positively. Be held in a non-judgemental, brave space to experiment and explore. Learn about nature-based solutions, blurring the lines between regenerative farming and rewilding to create real-world solutions using feminine principles. What? Nick Viney, International Artist, Regenerative Farmer, Rewilding Expert and Environmental Campaigner and Dorette Engi, Psychotherapist, Buddhist, Rewilder of Nature and mind, lead this Art & Beaver 2-Day Workshop for Women, to help you engage with Nature and nurture your own creativity amongst the creatures and the recovering land at Rewilding Coombeshead. A guided exploration into Nature based solutions through the clarifying lens of creativity. Great! But what does that mean? We will offer creative practices to connect with the rewilded landscape and understand how we can — and must — make space for Nature within an agricultural landscape. We’ll touch on regenerative food production systems that build back biodiversity. We’ll take a close look at the magnificent animals on site like lynx, beaver, white stork, water vole and understand how we can allow them to manage the landscape and shape it for abundance and regeneration. We will be getting our minds rewilded and our hands dirty maybe through drawing, painting and sculpture, in fact in any way that we want to be creative. Who is this for? Maybe you feel that you don’t have a creative bone in your body? Perhaps you haven't done any art since school? Potentially ‘life’ has got in the way, but you know something is missing? You know that you want to do something but it's hard to get started. Or perhaps you have a thriving art practice but you want to pivot into work that you feel is more meaningful for our times or aligned with your values? Above all you care deeply about Nature. No matter where you are on your creative journey, these two days, the first in the Art & Beaver Series of 2025, will vibrate with excitement and shine with the light of gratitude. United by our collective imagination, with hope and solidarity, we will stand and face these wicked problems. We are amidst a polycrisis: what are we going to do about it? Where? Rewilding Coombeshead is a 400 acre farm on its own rewilding journey. Here we find the Species Recovery Centre where we will study endangered native British species being bred for reintroduction projects. We can see evidence of free living beavers and the extraordinary rich landscape they have created. Why you? That nagging feeling inside of you needs to be acknowledged and given a way to flow into the world. Repressed, it might find its own way out through illness or depression. Be guided to channel the horror, frustration and feeling of helplessness of our current situation into beauty, action and hope. Allow these days to draw attention to these feelings in a positive way and transform them into light. “Only beauty’s gonna save the world now” Nick Cave’s father. Why now? Well, if not now when? How much longer do you want to feel like this? How much longer are you going to put everyone else's needs before your own? How are you going to make a start? The UK is the most Nature-depleted country in Europe, how do you feel about that? We don't have to stand by and watch it burn.
