Time: 6:00 PM – 7:15 PM (Note: Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign in and get settled before the session starts.)
Certified Instructors: Fitz-Gerald Cushnie & Melissa Alexander (with occasional Guest Yogi) Event Description: Mindfulness in the Park is a peaceful, rejuvenating experience that combines yoga, meditation, and mindful movement to help you reconnect with yourself in the serene setting of Tree Tops Park. Offered to the community by Self Place, a meditation, yoga, and holistic healing wellness center, this event is perfect for anyone seeking to reduce stress, build inner peace, and deepen their self-awareness. Held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month, starting in March, our sessions are designed to guide you on a journey of self-discovery through gentle yoga, breathwork, and meditation. Whether you're new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, our instructors, Fitz-Gerald Cushnie and Melissa Alexander, along with occasional guest instructors, will ensure that the practices are accessible and nourishing for all. Sessions may include: Yoga Poses: Explore a variety of yoga poses that promote flexibility, strength, and mindfulness, helping you connect deeper with your body and inner self.Breath Control (Pranayama): Techniques to calm the mind and strengthen the connection between body and breath.Silent Meditative Walks: Some sessions will include a peaceful, silent walk through the beautiful park, providing an opportunity for introspection and connecting with nature.Guided Meditation: Each session concludes with a meditation to help you integrate your experience and leave feeling centered and relaxed.Be Heard: At the end of our mindful session, we will have a brief share circle, offering a space to connect, reflect, and be in community with one another.Why Attend?
