EARLY BIRD TICKETS UNTIL APRIL 30TH Our Workshop is back for May 2025! Sing2Camera©. . . This workshop is only available to performers aged 10 to 17. Are you learning to sing, or are you an experienced performer? Are you looking to join a band, or have you started singing or drama at school, auditioning online or gigging at parties and events? At some point, you will need to learn skills to make a video demo, or maybe you are wanting to new examples of your style and repertoire? The skills a vocalist requires to make a studio video demo, are very different from the skills required for live perfomances. Come and join this 4 hour workshop, where you will not only learn valuable singing or acting to camera skills, technique and knowledge, but you will record a live vocal Demo.. JRS Sing2Camera© will be held at Cockburn Youth Centre - Music Room. WHAT'S INVOLVED IN THE WORKSHOP? Leading industry professionals, Joseph Galea and Jenelle Russo will lead you through this workshop which offers tips and skills for performing in front of the camera, including an introduction to studio sound, lighting and recording techniques. The 4 hour workshop will be fun and confidence building, and will cater for all ability levels. JRS staff members will be on site to ensure each singer is ready and feeling confident before the live recording takes place. The second half of the workshop will involve rehearsing and refining performances before the live, film recording. This session includes the refining and recording of ONE SONG. Jenelle is going to teach the group a hook of a song throughout the session and this will be recorded as a group! The workshop is packed with positivity and performance experience. Following the workshop, Joseph will edit and prepare your video. Upon completion of rendering, you will be privately sent the final product! Depending on the number of workshop participants, this may take some weeks - we will contact you when they are ready. It is preferable to come dressed in the outfit you are wearing for your recording. Think about your image as an artist, and put the effort in to show your personality. Please note- there will a changeroom area available if this is preferred! Tip: Block Colours look best on Camera - not stripes or patterns. CAN PARENTS STAY? No. All of our staff are qualified teachers and all have WWCC. They are excellent with assisting singers who are nervous and emotional. Grumble Boogie is an aerobic dance class led by performance artist Betty Grumble. This workshop harnesses daggy disco aerobic flow to create an hour of movement for release and rejuvenation. Thank You Body! Grumble Boogie is an open platform class, all levels of movement welcome. Bring water, a towel and wear threads that you can move and feel magical in.
