Motets are joyous pieces which explore everything a voice and chamber ensemble can bring to an emotion. We're aiming for a real celebration. So we're performing all of the Bach motets this year, just not all in one go. This Summer concert is those who inspired Bach, from Palestrina to Monteverdi and Gibbons to Victoria. Joyful samples such as Palestrina's Exultate, Monteverdi's Cantate Domino, and Gibbons' Clap Your Hands lift the mood, while Lotti's reflective Crucifixus contrasts with Bach's joyful Jesu Meine Freude. Join us, my friend, for an enchanting early evening performance. In November we'll complete the set with those whom Bach inspired, from Lauridsen to Gorecki and MacMillan. Business Buzz Towcester networking sessions are an excellent way to mingle face-to-face with other local businesses in a free-flowing, fun atmosphere. Turn up whenever you like before the event closes at 12 noon and stay for 5 minutes or the full two hours.
