Using storytelling based skills we use drama/movement and music to explore stories found hidden with nature and our world. Children will hear a short story then create and even tell their own! Props around the room and music enhance the session as children get inspired to find and create their own stories! We bring them to life using drama and freeze frames-giving children ownership of their ideas! Using the idea of nature to inspire us we look at different worlds and cultures-arctic animals, a walk in an enchanted forest, underground homes, and how the feel, smell and sounds of nature can inspire us. Using homemade charcoal and natural inks, I'll be spending the day drawing the trees and stream in these beautiful surroundings. I'd love it if you came to draw alongside me or with me. I can provide materials (or you may want to bring your own)and give you as much or little guidance as you need. It's about getting together to connect with these beautiful surroundings and each other through drawing. This free drop-in session is part of Whittle Dean CIC woodland art exhibition and participatory art event but please book a ticket so that I know that you are coming and can prepare enough materials for the day.
