He passionately believes in cultural equality and the power of the arts to enable everyone in society to have a voice. He has published 5 collections of poetry including ‘The Dandelion Clock’ (2020) and ‘Burial of the Cameo’ (2023) – ‘Dammed fine poems, full of emotional resonance and vivid imagery; the world made fresh to the eye and ear.’ – Ian Rankin Oliver has written poetry for film and television and in 2019 released his first spoken word single described by Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music) as ‘An unholy hybrid of John Cooper Clarke and Mark E Smith.’ He released his debut album Working-Class Love Poem (Shadrack and Duxbury 2023) which he toured extensively across the UK. More recently Oliver was shortlisted for the Los Angeles International Poetry Film Prize. His poems are now taught in schools and colleges. ‘Poems that dance with originality and are tenderly unafraid of love and belonging.’ – Mark Thomas 'Beautifully written poems from a unique voice of integrity and spirit.’ – Maxine Peake Bebe’s Hive is a grief-informed, creative support project for children and families, built in memory of our beautiful six-year-old Bebe. After losing her, we saw how deeply grief affects children. We also saw what was missing: a safe, child-led space for healing. So we’re creating one — rooted in love, creativity, and connection. Bebe’s Hive will offer free sessions using art, music, play, and storytelling to help children explore grief safely and gently. Led by a team of educators, creatives, and wellbeing practitioners - all who knew and loved Bebe. It will be a space full of care and hope. At its heart, Bebe’s Hive reflects who Bebe was: warm, inclusive, curious, and endlessly creative. Every part of what we’re building carries her kindness and her spark. We are still at the beginning — building the foundations, designing our sessions, and training our team. This page has been set up for those who’ve asked how they can support us or donate in Bebe’s name. We’re thankful to Elsie’s Story Charitable Trust, who are supporting us as we bring Bebe’s Hive to life. All donations made through this page are ringfenced for Bebe’s Hive, and will go directly towards helping us grow long-term — from training and safeguarding to creative resources and outreach. Thank you for helping Bebe’s light shine on. 💛 Information Source: Oliver James Lomax and Friends | eventbrite
