The Plant Pot Workshop - Creative Jesmonite Class w/ Objectify | Above Let's Get Lathered
Jul 10, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Pontefract
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO BE DOING?
In this 3-hour workshop you will be taught step by step, with demo’s how to create a Jesmonite Plant Pot - dimensions 12cm height, 15cm width, 10cm depth - using Terrazzo, Marbling, Block Colour & Drip techniques. We will be practicing on smaller moulds before the plant pot, so you can get a good understanding of how your product will look/the material works.
All materials for each process are provided so you don't have to bring anything other than yourself & potentially an apron/large shirt if you want to keep your clothes clean - Jesmonite washes out in the washing machine however Jesmonite Pigment can stain, so beware. It will be a messy process & if you have plans after the workshop you may want to cover your outfit. Best of all, because Jesmonite is quick to set, you will be able to take your creations home with you at the end of the workshop!
TO SUMMARISE
- Easy step by step guidance to make your own items - materials are all provided.
- Add your personal touch and creativity using various colours.
- Take your creations home at the end of the session, keep for yourself or give it to someone special.
- Group size max 10 people.
- Jesmonite kits will be available to purchase at the workshops for any attendees who may want to continue their experimentation or give the kit as a gift to someone!
If you have any queries or concerns, please contact us at objectifyjesmonite@gmail.com, we will get back to you swiftly & do our best to respond in depth.
WHAT IS JESMONITE?
Jesmonite is a non-toxic, eco-friendly, water-based resin used to create many kinds of decorative homeware, art, furniture & more! It comes as a two part separated mix of powder & liquid which at 1-2.5 ratio is mixed together to form a milky mixture. Naturally Jesmonite has an off white colour to it, so coloured pigments are used to give tone & hue to the mixture which is then poured into silicone moulds, where it cures & becomes a beautifully, unique item!

Note:
I’m a small business owner whose income depends entirely on workshops and markets. My events are small-scale and my costs and time invested remain the same whether the workshop is full or not. I always advertise my events with plenty of time to promote and sell tickets – and tickets tend to sell in the first week of publication.
I want try to strike a balance between being fair to participants, and not selling myself short or ending up making a financial loss. That’s why I don’t refund tickets within 14 days of an event, as it’s very unlikely I will be able to resell the ticket at short notice. Thank you for your understanding and for supporting small businesses.
