Joining forces with the Hong Kong Outward Bound Learning Association, Koon Man Space is collaborating to conduct a baseline ecological survey on the Chuen Lung stream and reptiles. In April, a four-day intensive docent training workshop will be held, shedding light on the significance of freshwater biodiversity, showcasing the unique landscape nurtured by the Chuen Lung stream. Led by freshwater ecology experts, the workshop will equip participants with essential knowledge in ecology, environmental education, and eco-tourism techniques. Following classroom sessions, participants will engage in outdoor assessments to evaluate their understanding of freshwater ecosystems and tour-guiding skills. Graduates will have the chance to lead guided tours in Chuen Lung, contributing to a collective database of the stream's ecological information. The workshop will take place on April 20 at Chuen Lung Koon Man School in Tsuen Wan, with an admission fee of HK$2,543.76. Limited to 15 participants, all attendees must be prepared with appropriate water gear for stream exploration.
