Deepen comprehension of composition and collaborate on a mini-comp with a group at the 8 Elements of Belly Dance · Phase 3 · 2024 event in Portland. In Phase 3, participants engage in an in-person experience to enhance their dance composition understanding, create dances in groups, and build on the work initiated in Phases 1 and 2. The intensive includes nightly reading and writing assignments to enrich learning. Upon enrollment, detailed instructions will be provided to aid in preparation. At the conclusion of each session, attendees have the option to undergo assessment through an optional test to determine readiness for the subsequent phase. Applicants can now apply for Multi-Phase registration to partake in Phases 3 & 4 consecutively. The event schedule entails daily classes from Monday to Friday, with additional discussions, testing, and performance labs on Saturday. The 8 Elements™ program is structured to establish a solid groundwork for personal practice and artistic growth in dance, focusing on dissecting belly dance fundamentals such as vocabulary, composition, technique, music, and practice.
