Trendy Gallery proudly presents Lost in DOMLAND, a not-so-playful, but deeply playful art exhibition by Udom Taephanich. This time, you’re not being invited to listen. Not to sniff anything either. You’re here to see. When we were kids, we were tiny explorers. Everything around us sparked curiosity. Playing was like a universal language, it helped us figure out the world. We shaped modelling clay, doodled endlessly, made up stories, and lost ourselves in fairy tales. Every bit of play was like unlocking a new version of the world, and of ourselves.

Calling ALL Poets! The Pen, mightier than the sword, some argue. The Voice, more powerful than a split atom. It is time to use them both. Bangkok Lyrical Lunacy presents: The BANGKOK POETRY SLAM .......................................................................................................... What is a Poetry Slam? Putting a dual emphasis on writing and performance, a Poetry Slam is the modern-day and competitive art of Spoken Word Poetry. In a Poetry Slam, participating poets perform their original works which are then scored by a panel of judges. The judges score on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the lowest, 10 being the highest) based on the poet's content and performance delivery. The highest and lowest score are dropped and the remaining three are added to give the final score of the poet. What is Spoken Word Poetry? Spoken Word Poetry is a performance focused recital of original poetry. The poetry can cover ANY topic and is open to different styles and techniques. It is a powerful form of creative expression, which gives writers the opportunity, and the outlet, to present their Voice. Who can enter the slam? ANYONE. New poets, old poets, non-poets, amateur poets, professional poets, the poet who wrote their first poem yesterday, and the one who just finished their 10,000th poem. ANYONE. Everyone. .......................................................................................................... EVENT DETAILS: .......................................................................................................... Friday, June 19 at Live Lounge Bkk, Sukhumvit soi 13 Entry: 300THB (For Poets and Spectators) Doors Open at 7PM Slam starts at 8PM Poets must be present and registered by 7:30pm Poets interested in entering the poetry slam please DM or email bangkoklylu@gmail.com. .......................................................................................................... Only original pieces written and developed by the competing poet are to be performed. There will be 2 Rounds. The First Round will host up to 8 poets. The 5 poets with the highest scores in the 1st round will advance to the Second Round. Judges will be selected from the audience and will score each poet's performance on a scale from 1-10 based on three criteria: Delivery, Writing, and Content. The highest scoring poet in the Second Round is determined the Winner of the Poetry Slam. Each round is clean slate, poets given the highest scores in each round will advance, while the remaining poets will be eliminated. In the event of a tie, the two poets with a tied score will enter a lighting round in which both poets will perform a one minute piece. Each poem must fit within a 3 minute time limit, with a 10 second grace period. After the 10 second grace period the poet's final score will be deducted .5 points for every 10 seconds over the 3 minuets and 10 seconds. ::Example:: 3:11 = -0.5 3:20 = -1.0 3:30= -1.5 3:40 = -2.0 Information Source: Lyrical Lunacy | eventbrite
