This means they should review the merit badge overview found on the JMDC website www.jmdc.org/downloads and bring to the program any requirements that are to be completed outside the program. Scouts should read the merit badge pamphlet prior to attending the program, and bring the pamphlet with them on the day of the merit badge program. Week One - Adventures in Science - Daily 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday, June 30th to Friday, July 4th. Explorers will be on a closed campus. For drop-off, gates open at 8:45 am for check-in, program starts at 9:00 am, and gates will close at 9:15 am. For pick-up, gates open at 12:45 pm, program ends at 1:00 pm and Explorers should be on their way home by 1:15 pm. If you have questions, please call our office, 951.685.5818. Discovery Camp Explorers will work together to make discoveries while participating in JMDC’s weekly Discovery Expeditions. Each week is a different theme focusing on science. Expect to get messy, go exploring, meet new friends, make discoveries, and have fun while doing all of that and more. Week #1 - Explorers, be prepared to get messy as you dive in to a week of icky, gooey, and always exciting science fun. After reviewing the scientific method, Explorers will test their scientific theories and record their findings in their science journal. In addition to science fun, Explorers will participate in nature hikes, crafts, daily team building activities and weekly water activities.
