We share homes. We share calendars. We even share passwords. But when was the last time we truly shared ourselves — the raw, unfiltered parts we often keep hidden, even from the ones we love most ? In the hustle of work, family, and digital noise, it’s easy to fall into surface-level connections: daily logistics, shared photos, half-listened conversations. We stay “connected”… but feel emotionally far apart. This 2.5 hour workshop is an invitation for you to pause, reflect, and reconnect. Through honest dialogue, guided reflection, and gentle prompts, you’ll explore: ✨ What vulnerability really means in a relationship (and why we avoid it) ✨ How to express your needs, fears, and desires — without shame ✨ Ways to build safety, trust, and emotional depth with your partner ✨ How to stay fully yourself and deeply connected This isn’t about fixing your relationship. It’s about showing up more fully, more honestly, and creating space for your partner to do the same. Because real intimacy isn’t built on perfection. It’s built on presence. And the courage to be truly seen. Come as you are. Bring your partner, or just bring your heart. We start from there. Meet Your Trainer: Dr Angela Tan Dr. Angela Tan spent 15 years in palliative care, gaining deep insight into what truly matters in life and growth. There, one truth stood out— love is what gives life meaning. Today, as a physician and intimacy coach, she helps individuals overcome hidden blocks in love, intimacy, and connection so they can thrive now, not later. The Gleaves are a husband and wife Americana/ Folk duo travelling in their CamperVan and sharing their music along the way. The warmth and flow of Chloe’s smooth voice blended with the confident power of Josh’s sets you in between a vocal air of ease and excitement. Soaring chords and energetic lead is glued with delicately confident finger picking. A life on the road together with their guitars delivers many a story to tell through both of their songwriting, combining influences of the roots genres. The Gleaves will be releasing their debut album ‘Like an Echo’ and to celebrate, they are touring from Cornwall to Scotland. On the 24th April at the Taproom in Upminster, Essex, come and watch The Gleaves perform songs from the album and hear the stories behind them plus songs from Josh’s previous solo EP ‘Cathedral Town’ and more. This will be a special intimate show in a beloved local venue in The Gleaves home county. Opening for The Gleaves will be Lucy Kitt. Lucy Kitt has been songwriting and performing under the radar for many years. Like discovering a 'hidden gem', her solo performances have captured the hearts of fans far and wide, and her talent cannot fail to go unnoticed by all who hear her music. Lucy's unique sound has been described as warm, earthy, and mellow, as well as being greatly influenced by the sound of LA's Laurel Canyon in the 1970's. Information Source: The Gleaves | eventbrite

Welcome to the Women's Circle! What is a Women's Circle? A Women's Circle is a nourishing and open space for women to come together to be heard, to be seen and to be celebrated. The format is simple: we will gather as a small group of women to share our truths and stories , and listen to that of others, in an environment of complete acceptance. Sat together in a circle, each woman will be given the chance to speak uninterrupted about whatever she feels called to share. We will not give advice or comment on what she has shared, but instead simply listen . This is a unique experience for many woman, to be truly given unlimited space to share her story, her thoughts or her feelings, and is one I am sure you will find incredibly powerful. This event is open to all women . No prior experience of women's circles is necessary to fully benefit from our time together. Format of session: We will begin with a short, grounding mediation guided by me. I will then open the circle for sharing. Time permitting, we will finish with a couple of journalling prompts for self-reflection, with a cup of warm tea. All elements are entirely optional and you are invited to engage with the session in whatever way feels comfortable for you. Who am I? My name is Poppy, and I am a fully qualified Forest Therapy Practitioner. I have also completed training as a meditation and minfulness guide and as a Women's Circle facilitator. As a Forest Therapy Practitioner, I am fascinated by the seasons and the ways in which we as humans interact with and are affected by them. Across the Northern Hemispher, the month of May marks the transition from late spring into summer. Themes related to this that we may be drawn to at this time of year include softness, revitalisation and coming into fruition . More information will be sent out to attendees 2 days before the event - if you have not received any information by then, please check spam and correspondence with Eventbrite (make sure you scroll down on event info emails), then email me at wildandwondernotts@gmail.com . Cultural Experiences
Please note that to access the upper floors of the windmill: children must be over 100cm tall all visitors must have suitable footwear (no flip-flops, open-toed or high heeled shoes) What to expect Upminster Windmill has been extensively restored, thanks to generous funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Veolia Environmental Trust and thousands of hours of time from our volunteers. Our open days offer the opportunity to: Enjoy the ambience of the 220 year old mill Experience the marvel of the sails and machinery turning (subject to wind conditions) Chat to our guides and explore the interpretation material to learn how the windmill worked On a clear day, experience views across London from the upper windows Learn more about the history of the site, the recent restoration and the role of wind power through time through digital touchscreen technology in our visitor centre Relax in the award-winning visitor centre garden Enjoy tea, coffee and snacks from our refreshment stall The sails and main drive shaft through the mill will be turning if weather conditions permit. You can explore the windmill at your own pace, with guides available on each floor to assist and answer questions. Entry time slots Capacity of the upper floors of the windmill is limited, and the best way to guarantee admission is to book in advance for a specific time slot - just present your ticket to the team on the ground floor of the windmill to gain entry, and then proceed through the windmill at your own pace. Any unsold tickets will be available on the day, but you may need to wait for a slot and admission is not guaranteed. You are welcome to visit the visitor centre, grounds and garden before or after your timed admission to the windmill itself. These will be open from 10am to 4pm on public open days. Access and safety The windmill is an iconic piece of industrial heritage, but is over 200 years old and was not constructed to modern accessibility and safety standards. W e have taken all practicable steps to deliver a safe experience, but please be aware: The windmill contains moving machinery which presents a danger of serious injury or death if limbs or clothing were to become entangled, and sails pass the gallery at high speed. Safety barriers are in place for this reason and must not be interfered with. Machinery may stop and start as the wind changes. Stationary machinery behind the barriers may start to move if the wind picks up. Access to the top of the windmill is via four steep open-tread staircases, pictured. Floors are uneven in some areas. For these reasons, you must adhere to the following: Suitable footwear must be worn at all times (no flip-flops, open-toed or high heeled shoes). Children must be at least 100cm tall, and must be able to climb and descend the stairs unassisted. Hold the handrail while using the stairs, and descend backwards. Adults should follow children up the stairs and descend ahead of them. Long, loose items of clothing (eg. long scarves) must not be worn. Due to the nature of the building and stairs you may prefer to wear trousers/shorts rather than skirts. Only small backpacks or shoulder bags should be taken on to the upper floors of the windmill. Limited, unsecure storage is available in visitor centre at the owner's risk. Stay behind safety barriers and follow instructions from our volunteers. In the event of severe weather (especially strong winds or thunderstorms) the mill may have to close. In this event, refunds will be offered. The Friends of Upminster Windmill aim to offer a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for visitors and volunteers to enjoy the windmill. In the event of inappropriate or unsafe behaviour you may be asked to leave. The duty manager's decision on this is final. Information Source: Friends of Upminster Windmill | eventbrite

Mokulito Printing Weekend Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th July 2025 10am - 4pm both days Standard Tickets: £220 per person Tutor: Caroline Whitehead Venue: Essex Print Studio Mokulito is a form of lithography which relies on the fact that oil and water do not mix, and is a great technique for anyone who enjoys drawing and experimenting with different kinds of mark-making. Unlike in traditional lithography, which uses a stone or metal plate, for Mokulito, the image is drawn on a plywood plate. Because wood is an organic substance, the image changes slightly each time the plate is printed, meaning that editions are small and variable. As the printing session progresses, the grain of the wood gradually becomes more dominant, often producing the evocative veils of colour that are so characteristic of this technique. A particular advantage of using wood as the printing matrix is the possibility of combining mokulito with woodcut, which can be used to produce contrasting sharp lines and textures. This weekend workshop will teach you how to draw, process and print one or two mokulito plates All materials will be provided but we suggest that you bring along a packed lunch. Suitable for beginners. Information Source: Essex Print Studios | eventbrite
