Tomorrow Talks | Storytelling with Purpose: Part One - Finding Your Story | Tom Tom Foundation
Jun 3, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Charlottesville
/// SESSION DESCRIPTION ///
Part 1: Finding Your Story (6/3)
Every organization—whether a nonprofit, small business, or community initiative—has a story that drives its mission. But before you can tell that story effectively, you need to uncover the moments, values, and voices that define it. In this reflective, hands-on session, we’ll help you connect the dots between your “why,” your impact, and your audience.
Participants will leave with:
A clearly defined core story for their organization or initiative
A worksheet to help surface personal, organizational, and community-driven stories
Inspiration from real examples of purposeful storytelling in action
Part 2: Telling Your Story (6/17)
Once you’ve identified the heart of your story, how do you share it in a way that resonates—whether you're talking to a donor, pitching a partnership, writing a grant, or posting on social media? This workshop is all about translating your authentic message into powerful storytelling across platforms. We’ll talk about what makes a story stick and how to stay true to your voice while adapting for different audiences.
Participants will leave with:
An understanding of how to tell your story in multiple mediums
A worksheet to help identify your communications channels and ways to amplify your story
Inspiration from real examples of purposeful storytelling in action
All tickets are donation based on a sliding scale ($15 - $35).
/// ABOUT TOMORROW TALKS ///
