The sculpture, inspired by the children's book Frog Finds a Place, written by Sally Morgan and Ezekiel Kwaymullina, and beautifully illustrated by Dub Leffler, will bring the story to life in a unique and enchanting way. The event promises a wide range of engaging activities for family members of all ages. Children can enjoy face painting, sand and nature art, and dot painting, while everyone can savor a taste of native Australian cuisine. Shakespeares Bookshop will also be on-site, offering books for sale that can be personally signed by the talented illustrator, Dub Leffler. For refreshments, a coffee van, Lions BBQ, and Fairy Floss Galore will be available.
The new sculpture will be officially unveiled by Mayor Moira Were AM, and we will have the privilege of hearing from both the illustrator, Dub Leffler, and the sculptor, Ngarrindjeri artist Thomas Readett.
