The Handstand Workshop Southampton is a 2-hour long workshop designed for complete beginners and individuals looking to enhance their handstand practice. This workshop caters to both beginners, who are unable to hold a handstand without a wall or have never attempted one before, and intermediate participants, who can only hold a handstand for a few seconds away from the wall. During the workshop, participants will learn various balancing techniques and drills used by professional hand balancers, which can be applied at their own pace. This workshop is perfect for those who are just starting to explore handstands or for individuals looking to improve their technique and consistently hold freestanding handstands. The workshop not only focuses on handstand practice but also aims to help participants build upper body strength, improve flexibility and mobility, prevent and recover from handstand-related injuries, and overcome the fear of falling. It attracts participants from diverse backgrounds such as Yoga, Pole Dance, Gymnastics, Calisthenics, Crossfit, Climbing, Circus, Acro Yoga, and Fitness Enthusiasts. The workshop is divided into two parts, with the first part consisting of warm-up drills, correct handstand alignment technique, balance strategies, and various handstand drills against the wall.
