Detroit-born and bred Haha Davis found his passion as a comedian/ internet sensation in 2013 by creating funny Vine videos and Instagram clips. His hilarious characters soon caught they eye of several celebrities, including Chance the Rapper, and in 2015 he was featured on the tracks “No Problems”, “All Night”, and “Blessings” on Chance the Rapper’s album Coloring Book and he narrated the Magnificent Coloring World Tour as the character Carlos The Lion.
Since then, his Instagram following has grown to 2.8million and in 2017, Haha’s catchphrase,” Dis Finna be a breeze” became a pop culture sensation that was adopted by celebrities and athletes on social media from Snoop Dogg to Tom Brady, which ultimately led to a music video collaboration with Snoop Dogg based on the phrase.
Haha is everywhere these days — he’s been featured in an episode of Detroiters, in promos for TBS’s Drop the Mic, in Forbes Magazine, as a character in the NBA2k18 video game and he embarked on a nationwide tour, to name a few. Kenny Howell, who has been doing stand-up comedy for more than 20 years and is probably best known for being part of Def Comedy Jam productions. He grew up on Chicago’s south side and was a good enough basketball player to earn a scholarship to Illinois State University. He was 27 years old when he mustered up the courage to enter a comedy contest sponsored by Miller Beer, with a spot on the Def Comedy Jam tour as a prize.

Audience members will need to bring their own portable chairs and blankets.

OR - visit the Durham cafe to get food or beverages before the performance!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
The performance will be between 45 minutes and one hour in length and will begin around 7:00pm, possibly a few minutes after if folks are still trickling in/finding parking. The performance consists of both live and recorded music, amplified through a sound system, set up near the stage and slightly in the audience area.

2025 Testify IronFest VII | Testify Strength & Conditioning
Jun 20, 2025 (UTC-5)ENDED
Omaha
IronFest is a strength meet wherein the contested lifts will be the squat, press, bench press, and deadlift. Competitors will form teams of 2 lifters/team and perform all 4 lifts; each lifter will perform one upper body lift and one lower body lift, and each lifter will receive 3 attempts for each lift. A team's score is comprised of each teammate's Wilks score (which is based on the heaviest successful attempt for each lift). There are no weight classes for this meet, but there is a weigh-in for each lifter, and lifters can weigh-in during one of the following periods:
Thursday, 06/19/25, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Friday, 06/20/25, from 5:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Friday, 06/20/25, from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
You may consult the rules found
here
for the squat, press, and deadlift movement standards, and a more complete treatment of the movement standards for all the lifts (including the bench press) can be found in the book
Starting Strength: Basic Barbell Training, 3rd edition
.
The six divisions are as follows:
Male/Male (Open)
Male/Male (Masters)
Male/Female (Open)
Male/Female (Masters)
Female/Female (Open)
Female/Female (Masters)
The open category is for teams with one or both teammates under 40 years of age on the day of competition, and the masters category is for teams with both lifters 40 years of age and older. In the masters category, the team score will be age-adjusted (using both Wilks and McCulloch coefficients).
Your meet entry fee includes an exquisitely designed and crafted shirt for each teammate, and you - as the stylish wearer of said shirt - will undoubtedly be the envy of all your friends. Don't miss out (shirt guaranteed only if lifters register by May 16). In addition, there will be prizes for the overall winners in each division.
Registration runs until 06/13/25, and there are regular and late registration rates, so register soon!
Testify members: Please talk to Phil Meggers BEFORE registering.
FAQs
Are singlets required?
Nope. We'd recommend something singlet-like for the squat (e.g., leggings, spandex shorts, etc.) as this makes judging more accurate - your squat will look higher than it is if you have a bunch of loose fabric bunching up at the crease of your hips - but there is no singlet requirement.
Is this event run like a typical strengthlifting or powerlifting meet?
Absolutely not. We want people to have a lot of fun, and we also do not want the meet to take as long as a typical strength or power meet. With that in mind, we'll be using quite a few power racks throughout the meet. If you're looking for a rigid and formal meet structure, this ain't it, folks. Music will be playing, costumes are encouraged, and the judges may be eating and drinking while performing their duties.
What's the refund policy?
All sales are final; refunds will not be provided.
Is it OK if the names on my ticket or registration doesn't match the people who attend and compete?
Registration should match the name of the participant. Please contact phil.meggers@testifysc.com if there are extenuating circumstances that make this impossible.

Popsicle Skate Night @ Benson Community Center | All Ages | 6 - 8 PM | Benson Community Center
Jun 24, 2025 (UTC-5)ENDED
Omaha
Skateboarding, like many action sports, has historically been male-dominated, which can make it intimidating for some to enter the scene. Popsicle Skate Night is designed to create a welcoming, supportive space where girls, femmes and nonbinary skaters, rollerbladers and scooterers of all ages (who feel comfortable in a femme-centered space) can build confidence, community, and develop their skills in an environment that prioritizes their lived experience. The more diverse the skate community, the stronger and more creative it becomes — this night is about growing the culture and making skating accessible for everyone!
Popsicle Skate Night at Benson Community Center in Omaha is offered
monthly on the last Tuesday of every month from 6 - 8 PM,
in partnership with
Popsicle Skate
,
Access Granted

*
are required for all participants.
*Our
liability waiver MUST be completed
HERE
by a parent/guardian prior to attending.*

About The Bay
The Bay is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska, where we believe kids can only dream as big as they’ve seen. Young people need culturally relevant programming and talent-building education to connect the dots between their organic interests and the jobs of tomorrow. That's why we do what we do — the future of our community depends on it. At The Bay, we know when we invest in our youth, they invest in Nebraska. Learn more at

Courage to Grow: A Book Club for Moms Seeking Something More
Are you longing for something more - something real, deep, and authentic, where you feel truly seen?
We're so glad you're here. This book club is a welcoming space for moms on a journey - of growth, of letting go, of becoming. Whether you're already part of the Acton Omaha community or you're simply a kindred spirit seeking depth, reflection, and connection, you belong here.
Over three evenings, we’ll walk through
Courage to Grow
by Laura Sandefer - the powerful story behind Acton Academy - and weave in our own stories too. Together, we’ll slow down, share honestly, and reflect on what it means to lead with courage, raise empowered children, and live with greater clarity and joy.
Each gathering will include:
Thought-provoking conversation around key chapters
Gentle, creative reflection (no artistic skill required!)
A glimpse into the heart of Acton’s learner-driven model
A warm space to connect with other growth-minded moms
Light snacks and simple creative moments to feed both body and soul
✨ You don’t need to have read the whole book to join. You just need an open heart.
