The workshop will be led by Mark Riley, an artist and art educator with an expertise and wide experience of working in mainstream primary schools, PRUs and special needs settings. Mark will share the creative approaches he uses to enthuse pupils to: increase their expressive art making skills and knowledge, to make decisions and think for themselves and to create unique artworks. Mark will work alongside Arts Connect’s Becky Thompson, a qualified art teacher with 15 years of experience of working in schools. What will I learn on the day? What will you do during the day? Try out and learn a range of art techniques that Mark has developed with children and teachers using art materials that are inexpensive and accessible. Play with large-scale art making techniques that encourage pupils to move and interact with their surroundings and classmates.
