The 102nd Verona Arena Opera Festival 2025 will take place from 13 June to 6 September with a season of 51 evening events, including opera, concerts, special events and dance in the iconic Roman amphitheatre. In 2025, the Festival will present a series of iconic productions, each presented in new directions and interpretations, bringing freshness and originality to timeless classics. One of the most anticipated events is a new production of Nabucco, one of Giuseppe Verdi’s most beloved operas, which will showcase the contemporary directing talents of Stefano Polda. Also highly anticipated is the revival of Aida, which will enchant with its stunning sets and famous arias. The season continues with other Verdi operas including La Traviata, which will showcase the elegance of Hugo de Haan, who captures the essence of the Belle Époque through a visually captivating interpretation, complemented by elaborate sets and dreamy costumes. Don't miss Georges Bizet's historic Carmen, a monumental work reinterpreted for the stage under Franco Zeffirelli's iconic vision. In addition to opera, the festival includes special events such as the Jonas Kaufmann Gala, the dance performance Roberto Bolle and Friends, the Poetry Branagh, and Viva Vivaldi.
