Film screening: Common Ground | The Plough & Harrow
May 13, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Harpenden
Why are chemical companies selling toxic products? What is regenerative agriculture and how could it help stabilise the climate? What's the link between farming and biodiversity loss?
Grab a friend and join Our Planet Our Future for one of the first global screenings of
Common Ground
. The highly anticipated sequel to Kiss the Ground blends journalistic expose’ with deeply personal stories from those on the front lines of the food movement, unveiling a dark web of money, power, and politics behind our broken food system.
The film reveals how unjust practices forged our current farm system in which farmers of all colours are literally dying to feed us. The film profiles a hopeful and uplifting movement of white, black, and indigenous farmers who are using alternative “regenerative” models of agriculture that could balance the climate, save our health, and stabilize the economy – before it’s too late.

The Anxious Adolescent Panel Event | The Harpenden Arms
May 14, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Harpenden
At Rayden Solicitors, as specialist family lawyers we deal with very emotive situations on a regular basis, so we are very aware of the impact of such situations on mental and physical wellbeing. This also means we recognise how important it is to provide help to those who may be facing stressful events. This often leads us to seek advice from other professionals so we can better support our clients and their families, and also introduce our clients to those professionals so they can find solutions for their particular circumstances.
We are therefore delighted to be hosting The Anxious Adolescent Panel Event to introduce some of these contacts to a wider audience. The panel will discuss the challenges facing children and young adults between the ages of 10 to 19. Our expert panel will provide parents and caregivers with tools to help adolescents manage stress, anxiety, and other emotional difficulties and consider topics such as exam stress, school refusal, bullying and the impact of social media.
Rayden Solicitors' Senior Associate Kayleigh Biswas-Gregory will facilitate the panel event and will be joined by Miranda Perry, Abrial; Charlotte Phipps, Hypnohelpclinic; and Claire Bantham; Haven Hope.
Doors open at 5:30pm and the panel discussion will begin at 6pm. Following the panel discussion there will be an opportunity to stay and chat to the hosts. Refreshments will also be available throughout the event.
Tickets are £5 with all proceeds going to chosen charity Rett UK.

Esther Hathon - Visage Medical
www.visageprivatemedical.com
I would like to introduce myself and welcome you to Visage Medical. Visage Medical is the sister practice to our prestigious dental practice Visage Dental. We have two dental locations one in Harpenden and one in St Albans.
I have been in dentistry for over 25 years. I started my dental career as a dental nurse and in 2000 I qualified as a dental hygienist. During those years I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge working alongside other experts, running my own dental hygiene consultancy dental compliance business.
I founded Visage Dental Harpenden in 2016 & in 2019. I took over an existing specialist Dental practice in St Albans to ensure that we could offer all aspects of dental care for our patients. www.visagedental.com
I decided to expand into offering private medical GP services, as I recognised the synergy between oral health and overall wellness. The experience gained in the dental field has provided a strong foundation in patient care, clinical management, and community engagement, which seamlessly translates into a general medical practice. This provides holistic healthcare, acknowledging that dental health often reflects and impacts broader medical conditions. By integrating these services, we can offer a more comprehensive approach to patient well-being, addressing both preventive and therapeutic needs under one roof. This expansion not only meets a growing demand for personalised healthcare but also aligns with the philosophy that a unified approach to health can lead to better patient outcomes and satisfaction. www.visageprivatemedical.com
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
