May 31, 2025 (UTC-7)ENDED
North West Bend
Spend the afternoon with us, learning what it feels like to experience poverty in our community.
What is a Poverty Immersion Experience?
A Poverty Immersion Experience is designed to help people understand the challenges and realities faced by those living in poverty. It allows users to experience, in a controlled setting, the difficult decisions and struggles people in poverty might face.
What can I expect at this event?
Each attendee will take on the identity of a person living in poverty. You will then interact with others to carry out your daily business - such as going to work and feeding your family - with limited resources. In doing so, you will navigate systems and learn about the difficult decisions people living in poverty face every day. Our day will end with a group debrief and a discussion about ways to impact change.
