Youth Sector + Amelia and the Lovefools and The Reverse Cowboys | Voodoo Daddy's

Oct 1, 2025 (UTC+1)
Norwich
Concerts
Hailing from Brighton, indie rock quintet Youth Sector expertly balance astute political observations with campy indie romps. Inspired by the art school greats DEVO and Talking Heads, their music is a coiled spring of urgency and unpredictable energy that offers a sense of catharsis for the confusion of modern adult life. Across their critically acclaimed EPs, the Brighton quintet have never revelled in bleakness, managing to twist everyday narratives into music that is quite the opposite being upbeat, full of energy and with irresistible choruses you can’t help but sing along with. Evidently Youth Sector are no strangers to weaving prescient issues of culture and politics into the warm embrace of strong grooves and sing-along choruses, but debut album ‘Pop Couture’ raises the bar considerably, marking their strongest statement to date. From grift culture to political corruption to the devolution of living standards, Youth Sector prove they can transform the weightiest subject matter into the most irresistible of choruses. Dirty Sound Magnet | Voodoo Daddy's

Dirty Sound Magnet | Voodoo Daddy's

Oct 8, 2025 (UTC+1)
Norwich
Rock Concerts
With an impressive track record of over 500 shows throughout Europe, UK, and Mexico, three studio albums, and a captivating live record since 2017, Switzerland’s Dirty Sound Magnet is an unstoppable, unbreakable force of rock. The uniqueness of their mesmerising music and kinetic live performances has won audiences the world over. Their show is unpredictable; shamanic stage presence, rock star charisma, instrumental prowess, poetic vocals, tantalising dynamics. Expect the unexpected.  The DNA of this award winning Swiss act can be traced back to the ancestral ‘Golden Age of Rock’ (60s, 70s), but instead of copying past heroes, Dirty Sound Magnet worked hard on breaking new ground. Their music has been likened to a fusion of Led Zeppelin's energy and instrumental virtuosity, the raw energy of Iggy Pop, and the mysticism of The Doors. By infusing modern psych influences like Tame Impala and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, along with thought-provoking lyrics reflecting contemporary social turmoil, Dirty Sound Magnet have created their own distinct musical formula. Dirty Sound Magnet's music is in a constant state of evolution, and their upcoming record due in late 2023 with Australian label Wild Thing Records, is a testament to their artistic progression. As the band continues their ongoing tour since 2022, this new record will propel them to new continents and connect with diverse audiences. Information Source: Pizza Club | eventbrite

Founded in 2021 by Norwich-based brothers Jonny Silver (guitar/vox) and Kenny Pleasures (drums/vox), PleasureInc. take the blueprint of the ‘indie rock band’ and subvert expectations. Armed with the Babyface Killa (keys/percussion) and Burger (bass), their ‘genre fluid’ approach incorporates hip hop, indie, dance, fashion, 90s wrestling and comedy in their music and visuals, prioritising vibes, crease and character over genre norms. Boasting sold out shows in Norwich, London and Brighton in their first few months of existence, the band’s live show has led them to appearances at The Great Escape and Down the Rabbit Hole, as well as a full UK/EU tour supporting Friday Pilots Club in 2024. The release of their debut EP ‘Plastic People’ in April 2024 has garnered the attention of BBC Radio 1 and 6Music, Clash, Hard of Hearing, Wonderland and Earmilk, and 3 appearances at Left of the Dial paves the way for another exciting year for the band. "Join the cooperation" they say. Due February 13th 2025, their sophomore EP ‘How to Fool Yourself’ gives us a window into the world of PleasureInc. - so sneak out, spend a night with the gang. Beautiful and strange, ancient monuments have long captured our attention and curiosity. We stand in awe before them, asking who created the Uffington White Horse - and why? What was it like to live in the shadow of Hadrian's Wall? What stories would the towering megaliths of Stonehenge and Avebury tell if they could speak? Uncovering the enduring mystery of ancient sites, award-winning writer Peter Ross once again invites readers to travel with him as he celebrates their influence on art, culture and society, explores the way their meaning has evolved over time and simply delights in their magic. Combining historical research and archaeological insights with stories from people to whom these sites are particularly important, Upon A White Horse journeys into the deep past of Britain and Ireland's ancient landscapes. Please join us for an inspiring conversation, and a chance to geta s igned copy!
