Our annual winter showcase takes place each year before our competitions begin. This is where our teams showcase the routines they've been working on for 3-5 months for the first time! This event is open to the public and we encourage family and friends of our athletes to come out and see the incredible talent that we have here at Flight Athletics. There will be 9 team performances and 8 individual performances.

Braden is a three-time Canadian Folk Music Award nominee, with his most recent Borealis Records release Kitchen Days winning the award for Traditional Album of the Year in 2022. Since his debut album Break it to Me Gently came out in 2013, he has recorded and released eight full-length albums, exhibiting a drive to create and a dedication to craft that is remarkable by any standard. As a performer, Braden is as captivating as he is prolific at writing, and has played many of Canada’s major folk festivals, as well as representing Alberta as far afield as Iceland. Currently in pre-production for yet another studio album, Braden continues his life’s work to lovingly coax the fleeting beauty out of life’s mundanities. Francis Kavanagh a singer/songwriter from Westlock Ab. This guy is a retired dairy herdsman who gets a big kick outta singing songs and entertaining. Like his personality, scattered brain, his songs range from ridiculously funny to soberly poignant. With joe Ireland band, Kavanagh produced an album entitled 'May Include Unpaved Roads'; an album that is glacially launching his career into Super Stardom. Check him out!
Spruce Gillis has been masterfully writing storytelling songs for only a short time and is already causing a ruckus in the northern Alberta communities. Gillis is a natural at capturing the audiences imagination through his beautiful, thoughtfull and emotionally provoking song writing.

Braydon cherishes the friendships and the memories that music has given him for it is through the Edmonton jam scene under the mentorship and curation of Bill Bourne that Braydon got to know these amazing musicians, artists and poets.

Laurelle is a singer songwriter who’s passion for creating meaningful music has taken on many incarnations over the years. From joining every choir possible in school, to venturing out as a solo singer songwriter, forming a trio of troubadours with The Red Deers, recording and touring with Alberta’s own folk music master Bill Bourne, her long time collaborations with Bass player Carl Stretton (C-note), & recent collaborations with guitarist and songwriter Adam Kidd, Laurelle’s love for musical expression runs deep! She seamlessly blends folk, jazz, & soul influences into her own contemporary, yet timeless sound.

Mira Angela is an Edmonton based classically-trained, contemporary violinist with over 30 years experience. She is a versatile musician who seamlessly weaves together intuitive vocal expressions and intricate string harmonies.

Hello my name is Jeremy Paul deBurgh Edwardes. I was born in England in 1953 the son of a rocket scientist and an actress. My whole life I have been exploring the meeting place between art and technology. Currently I am based in Edmonton and perform as the Cowboy Buddha.
I grew up in Montreal in the 60’s appearing on stage and television. In the 70’s I toured with the National Theatre School where my mother had studied with William Shatner. I also apprenticed in framing and exhibiting work for the CanadianaHouse in Calgary.
I studied Painting and Sculpture at the Alberta College of Art and have diplomas in Integrated and New Media from the Ontario College of Art and Design. As a musical clown in the 90’s I worked for the Cirque du Soleil and performed at the Lincoln Center in NYC. As a creative producer I have receivedmany international awards including an Oscar for best animated short film in 2005.
