The Event For ages 3 - 11, we invite participants to join us at the stadium to ride/scooter 1 to 5 miles (they can choose) in aid of building water projects. Participants will be awarded a custom event medal for their amazing efforts. Each child must have a guardian and they remain your responsibility. Fundraising The target fundraise is £50. Don't worry if you have never fundraised before, our experienced team will reach out and give lots of tips. What's even more amazing is that if the participant reaches £250 we will personalise a water well in their name as well as provide pictures. Bouncy Castle/Face painter There will be a bouncy castle/Facepainter on site. Refreshments Drinks and Snacks will be available for sale on the day. Do bring cash. As part of our Wilder Luton project and associated aim to engage older children and young people with the natural landscape found around Luton we have launched a new, monthly, Wild Ed session for 10-18yr olds educated at home. Meeting the 1st Monday of each month at the Bushmead Community Hub garden, we will provide a chance to learn new woodwork skills and gardening skills by looking after and improving this communal green space as well as learning some bushcraft skills too! Please note this session will be run on Friday the 2nd of May at 2.30pm due to 5th of May being a bank holiday Monday! Nearby is the Bradgers Hill nature reserve and there will be a chance to explore this site, to help look after the site and to try out some bushcraft activities. Sessions will depend on the season but will always be based outdoors so please come dressed for the weather. Only in extreme conditions will sessions be cancelled. You are welcome to leave your child in our care during these sessions. During this session, we will be making our own fat-ball holders for birds! This is a great opportunity to learn some heritage craft skills- willow weaving; as well as look after wildlife in your garden, making these beautifully crafted bird feeders to take home or leave in the community garden. We will be based at the Bushmead Community Garden for this session. Thanks to National Heritage Lottery funding we can offer these sessions at £4 per child (+eventbrite fee) If you have younger children please do look at our Wild Ed-Primary sessions, running fortnightly on Thursday afternoons at Wardown Park, Arboretum. Welcome to the Luton Little Bugs Club! Calling all mini-wildlife explorers! Come and join us for a fun morning of exploration and discovery within the enclosed area of Wardown Park's arboretum, right next to the museum's car park. This group is for pre-school children (aged 3-5 years old) and encourages outdoor play and discovery. Sessions run fortnightly on a Thursday morning and the aim is to build confidence of being in the outdoors for both children and their guardians and to connect with local green spaces. Enjoy crafts, story time and outdoor play in this lovely location. Activities may vary and we try to be outside for all sessions, so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. We will serve a drink and snack but please feel free to bring your own packed lunch to enjoy after your session. Thanks to generous funding from the National Heritage Lottery Fund, we are able to offer subsidised pricing of £3.50 per child (+eventbrite fee). Please note, bookings close 24 hours before the event and a minimum attendance of four paying children is required for the session to run. All booking fees will be refunded if we are not able to run.
