May 3, 2025 from 9 AM to 12 PM Join Clarkson University for a cleanup at Dennings Point State Park 9 AM to 12 PM for the 14th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep. This is a rain or shine event. Volunteers will meet at Dennings Point State Park, 199 Dennings Ave, Beacon, NY 12508. Volunteers should park near the gated Dennings Point Park entrance at the Beacon water treatment plant. Walk past the gate, down the dirt road, over the bridge and head left to the trailhead (about 1/4 mile). Dress for the weather! We advise Sweep volunteers to dress in warm layers and bring a rain jacket. Volunteers should wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, come equipped with work or gardening gloves (if you have them), a hat, a filled reusable water bottle, insect repellent, and hand sanitizer. Be aware of common hazards, including poison ivy, uneven ground, and ticks. This site is suitable for elementary-aged children with adult supervision. Questions?
