Doch unter dieser scheinbaren Normalität lauert eine andere Wirklichkeit: nächtliche Luftalarmsirenen, die den Schlaf zerreißen, ständige Sorgen um Angehörige, unausgesprochene Ängste. Und dennoch – oder gerade deshalb – klammern sich die Menschen an ihre Routinen. Denn Normalität ist nicht nur ein Wunsch, sondern ein Überlebensinstinkt. Das Fotoprojekt Bizarre Normality (2023–2025) fängt dieses fragile Gleichgewicht ein. Entre líneas: Tertulia literaria sobre Cristina Rivera Garza con Luisa Reyes Retana Luisa Reyes Retana es abogada y máster en Derecho Comparado. Ha ocupado cargos públicos como agregada cultural en la embajada de México en Alemania (2019-2021) y como secretaria proyectista en la Suprema Corte de Justicia de su país (2009-2011). Ganadora del Premio Mauricio Achar en 2017 por su primera novela, Arde Josefina, publicó su segunda obra, Tu lengua en mi boca, en 2022, ambas con el sello de Literatura Random House. Ha colaborado con medios como El País, Revista Proceso o Gatopardo, entre otros. Actualmente vive en Berlín, donde imparte clases de escritura creativa, entrena (coaching) creadores, y prepara sus dos próximas novelas. La tertulia girará en torno a El invencible verano de Liliana (Random House, 2021), de Cristina Rivera Garza (Matamoros, México, 1964), comisaria invitada en 2025 del Festival Internacional de Literatura de Berlín (ILB). La novela, galardonada con el Premio Pulitzer 2024 en la categoría de autobiografía o memoria en su versión en inglés, narra aspectos de la vida de su hermana menor y su feminicidio ocurrido en 1990. A través de cartas, diarios y testimonios, y reconstrucciones de hechos y recuerdos, Cristina trae a Liliana a las páginas: una joven de 20 años, estudiante de arquitectura, con una visión peculiar de la vida y de la libertad. También trata el final de su vida en manos de un feminicida. Este libro es un homenaje a Liliana y a todas las que nos ha quitado la violencia, y una denuncia del feminicidio y la impunidad. Join us aboard the historic MV Helena EVERY WEDNESDAY for some jokie jokes. Each week features some of Berlin's hilarious international comedians working out their favourite new jokes, and making you laugh! If you're looking for a cool location to sit back, relax, and enjoy a drink with a side of giggles then this is the show for you. You can even grab food before the show at the boat's café. We've got limited seating on our comedy vessel. So be sure to RESERVE YOUR SEATS ahead of time so that you don't get turned away! We offer a special 3€ seat reservation so that you can guarantee your spot at the show and we don't have to turn you away because we are full. It's free seating and first come first serve, so show up early for the seats with the best views. Additionally, we offer a special 13€ ticket for seats in the back with tables and table service. You pay 3€ in advance and the remaining 10€ at the door (card/cash). We'll head BELOW DECK to the cozy stage area inside of the boat. So no matter how cold outside, we can bring you some warm laughs.
