Conducting Effective Workplace Investigations California employers must respond appropriately to reports of inappropriate workplace conduct. This training will provide an overview of best practices to reduce potential legal liability through timely, thorough, and impartial workplace investigations. Addressing Behavior and Performance Issues through Defensible Documentation Generating consistent, accurate, and non-biased documentation of employee behavior and performance issues is one of the most important functions of managing employees. This training will explore the purpose and principles behind proper documentation that will equip employers to support disciplinary actions. Guest Speaker Susan Steward, partner with Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo, brings her employment law expertise to a wide range of industries, from the manufacturing sector to the service industry. She provides expert representation to businesses of all sizes, non-profit organizations, and trade associations on various types of legal matters including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation and wage and hour issues. Ms. Steward has litigated significant victories for her clients in state and federal courts. She also represents clients in administrative agency actions and conducts large-scale workplace investigations. Let’s reconnect with the community and celebrate our mission of empowering and supporting AANHPI (Asian American Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander) women entrepreneurs and professionals. Enjoy an afternoon of delicious entrees, beautiful hula, and silent auctions. Each ticket will include entertainment, a full three course meal, and soft drinks.
