Simple Plan | College Street Music Hall
Jun 3, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
New Haven
This event is General Admission Standing Room on the Floor, and Reserved Seated in the Balcony.
Simple Plan will donate $1 from each ticket sold on this tour to the Simple Plan Foundation. Established in 2005, the Simple Plan Foundation focuses on helping young people in need and showcasing the power of music as a tool to find purpose and direction in life. Since its inception the Simple Plan Foundation has donated over $2M to various charitable causes in Canada and has been awarded many prestigious distinctions for its philanthropic work.
SIMPLE PLAN
From their new millennium rise to MTV superstardom through pop-punk’s modern resurgence, SIMPLE PLAN have been an indelible part of pop culture since forming in Montreal in 1999. They’ve sold 10 million albums worldwide, won multiple Juno Awards, performed at the 2010 Winter Olympics – and, most recently, launched the omnipresent #ImJustAKid TikTok challenge that’s spawned more than 3.4 million videos, including clips from Hilary Duff, Ed Sheeran, Usher and Venus and Serena Williams.
HARDER THAN IT LOOKS is the first self-released album from drummer Chuck Comeau, vocalist Pierre Bouvier and guitarists Sébastien Lefebvre and Jeff Stinco. The album respects Simple Plan’s storied career while pushing forward in new ways, with songs like “The Antidote,” “Ruin My Life” (ft. Deryck Whibley), “Congratulations,” "Wake Me Up (When This Nightmare's Over)" and "Iconic" set to stand as fan favourites for years to come.
“It’s amazingly complex to be in a band for 20-plus years, to keep going, stay relevant and manage all the challenges that come your way,” Bouvier says. “It’s the furthest thing from a ‘simple plan’ – it’s truly a lot harder than it looks. Throughout our career, it’s taken a while to be mature enough to understand that our sound is an asset, not a liability. On this album we said: ‘Let’s just embrace who we are and not be afraid to do what we do best.’ Making a good Simple Plan record is just as hard as making something off the beaten path.

WINONA FIGHTER
Nashville-based Winona Fighter is breathing new life into the resurging punk scene. Recently signed to Rise Records, they are on a mission to create punk music that is accessible and accepting to all music lovers willing to listen. This mission statement is exemplified by latest single "I'm In The Market To Please No One", a sonic kick in the face with an earworm chorus and empowered lyrical content and delivery.
Coco’s (front-woman of Winona Fighter) introduction to the Boston punk rock scene at an early age was the catalyst influence for her sound and stage presence. Moving to Nashville gave her a task to expose music lovers to the power of thrashable tunes. After recruiting lead guitarist Dan Fuson, they set off to do justice to the scene Coco had left behind, eventually adding Austin Luther (bass/producer) to the family.
The release of “I’m In The Market To Please No One” saw the band deliver their first proper music video. The song received major support from DSPs including placements with covers on ‘All New Punk’ and ‘New Noise’ playlists. The band is recognized as an energized powerhouse during their live performances. Their shows are a space where all bullshit and ego is left at the door - all are welcome, equal and need to get on their fucking feet. They’re not slowing down in 2024 with 10 shows at SXSW and a US tour with Bayside, Finch and Armor For Sleep. The band will also hit festival stages again for Shaky Knees, Louder Than Life and Aftershock Festival.

If you like fast-paced, edgy one-liners then get ready to be happy. Jimmy Carr is going back on tour with his brand-new show ‘Jimmy Carr: Laughs Funny’.
Jimmy tells jokes, and jokes are like magnets.
Jokes attract people, but they can also repel.
Some people are repelled by Jimmy's dark brand of comedy. This show is not for them.
But if it's the kind of thing you like, then this is the kind of thing you’ll like.
JIMMY CARR
One of the biggest-selling comedy acts in the world, Jimmy consistently performs stand-up to sell-out crowds across the globe. At the latest count he has taken tour shows to over forty different countries and his last world tour, Terribly Funny, sold over 1.2 million tickets globally.
Jimmy Carr: Laughs Funny will extend his reach even further and marks the first time this record-breaking comedian has toured in arenas in the UK and Ireland.
Jimmy is a household name in UK television, well known for hosting Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Big Fat Quiz Of The Year in addition to presenting Comedy Central’s Roast Battle UK and Your Face Or Mine. He is a regular on all the top panel shows, including QI and A League Of Their Own, has performed as part of The Royal Variety Performance three times, hosts Channel 4 gameshow I Literally Just Told You and in 2025 will also host Last One Laughing UK on Amazon Prime.
Jimmy is also a high-profile name in North America. He was the first UK comedian to sign a stand-up deal with streaming behemoth Netflix in 2015, releasing four specials on the platform, Funny Business (2016) and Best Of Ultimate Gold Greatest Hits (2017), His Dark Material (2021) and Natural Born Killer (2024). He also presented and exec-produced an original panel show format for Netflix, The Fix, and has been a guest multiple times on US staples such The Tonight Show, The Late, Late Show and Late Night With Conan O’Brien. He has performed at the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival since 2003 with more appearances than any other UK act in that time.
Before making the move to streaming, Jimmy was one of the bestselling acts in the comedy DVD market, his eight titles (Live, Stand-Up, Comedian, In Concert, Telling Jokes, Making People Laugh, Being Funny and Laughing & Joking) selling over 1.2 million copies between them. These shows are now all available on Jimmy’s YouTube channel, where he has accrued over 1.1 million subscribers and 436 million views since launching in 2018.
Jimmy is also a published author. He co-wrote The Naked Jape: Uncovering the Hidden World of Jokes in 2007 and his highly anticipated memoir Before & Laughter was released in September 2021, making The Sunday Times Bestsellers list.

Bloc Party: 20 Years of Silent Alarm & Greatest Hits | College Street Music Hall
Jun 5, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
New Haven
This event is General Admission Standing Room on the Floor, and Reserved Seated in the Balcony.
BLOC PARTY
Moving from hooky post-punk to ambitious genre-mashing - and back again - Bloc Party's artistic restlessness has served them well since the early 2000s. The mix of Kele Okereke's impassioned yelp and Russell Lissack's angular riffs on their first EPs helped shape British indie rock for the rest of the decade, but by the time Bloc Party released their platinum-selling 2005 debut album Silent Alarm, they'd added atmospheres drawn from post-rock and electronic textures to their style.
The East London band continued to push themselves on 2007’s A Weekend in the City and the following year’s Intimacy, incorporating influences from hip-hop to modern composition and writing songs that ranged from socially aware to deeply personal. Bloc Party’s later albums were also adventurous, whether they borrowed some of post-hardcore’s bite on 2011’s Four or mused on spirituality on 2016’s reflective, redemptive Hymns. Despite hiatuses and lineup changes, when they returned to their razor-sharp post-punk on 2022’s Alpha Games, Bloc Party sounded as fresh as ever.

Keynote: Autumn Peltier | Humanities Quadrangle
Jun 21, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
New Haven
Autumn Peltier is Anishinaabe-kwe and a member of the Wikwemikong First Nation and an internationally recognized advocate for clean water. She is a water protector and has been called a “water warrior”. Peltier addressed world leaders at the UN General Assembly on the issue of water protection at the age of thirteen in 2018.
Peltier lives on the Unceded Anishinawbe Territory on Manitoulin Island in northern Ontario. She began her advocacy on behalf of water at the age of eight and was inspired by her great aunt, Josephine Mandamin.
Peltier gained national and international notice when at a meeting of the Assembly of First Nations she presented Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau with a copper water pot and although she did not have time to deliver her prepared speech she confronted Trudeau on his record on water protection and his support for pipelines. She has attended international events such as the Children’s Climate Conference in Sweden.
In April, 2019 the Anishinabek Nation honoured her and raised her up to be the Chief Water Commissioner in her great aunties role. Autumn has travelled far and wide to carry the message of the importance of clean water and the Sacredness of Water. She seemingly came out of the womb already set on her path: to advocate for people’s right to clean water, the rights of water itself, and the political recognition of the interdependency of the two.
