Open 10am to 4pm. Come and spend the day immersed in Comic Con culture with lots of people dressed as their favourite characters. We also have Retro gaming, facepainting, board and card gmaing areas, movie cars on display and lots of exhibitors selling everything from Star Wars to Stranger Things. A family friendly, great value for money event where everyone is welcome :-) For ticket holders with additional needs who may find it helpful to enjoy the event in a quieter atmosphere we offer a 9.30am entry so that gives some time before the main entry at 10am where the event is not crowded or loud. Who for? Our Learn to Ride course is designed specifically for children aged 4-10 years old who would like to learn how to ride a bike with pedals. It is recommended that 4 year old's attend our Balance Bike course prior to attending this course. Course Description The course (4 x 1 hour sessions) will give children the skills and confidence required to ride a bike with pedals independently. The course will teaches children how to: Fit a helmet Mount & dismount the bike Balance Steer Brake Pedal We will do this by lowering the seats and removing the pedals from the children’s bikes for the first three sessions. This enables children to learn the skills with the reassurance of being able to put their feet on the ground if they lose their balance. This helps them to feel safe which builds their confidence. For the fourth session we put the pedals back on and teach them how to perform the skills whilst also pedaling. This course will be held over the following 4 dates with sessions between 2.00-3.00pm on each date. Riders are required to attend all four sessions Tuesday 27th May Wednesday 28th May Thursday 29th May Friday 30th May All sessions are held outdoors on the school's playground. Instructors encourage parents to observe all sessions so they can understand the skills being taught and help their child to practice outside of the sessions.
