Join us for Run the Runway on Saturday 17th May 2025 at Dundee Airport. This unique event is a sponsored 5k at night on the Airport’s runways - lit by the runway’s landing lights! Maggie’s Dundee have exclusive access to the Airport. We will have a photo opp wall, music, fun and games. The inclusive 5k run (in optional fancy dress) will include a warmup followed by each group being called to their ‘gate’ (split into fastest runners, fun runners, skaters and walkers). Registration begins at 8pm with the first 'flight' taking off at 9pm. All participants receive a complimentary goody bag, Maggie’s t-shirt and finisher’s medal. There will be prizes for fastest finisher, best fancy dress and top fundraiser. Enjoy a celebratory drink at our complimentary mimosa and prosecco bar (non alcoholic options available too) in the airport lounge once you've completed Run the Runway. We are asking our participants this year to try to raise a minimum of £100 sponsorship so that we can continue to support people with cancer and those that love them. Come and enjoy songs, jigs, reels and strathspeys in the Dundee Burns Club, with musicians marshalled by Banjo Brian McKay. We're expecting singers Jess Smith, Aileen Carr, Kevin Thompson, Sheena Wellington, Barbara Dymock, Lesley McLuckie and Wilson Omand. Instrumentalists will be Brian McKay, Coralea McKay, Steve McKay, Gordon Ewan, Scott Carnegie and Yvonne McLeod, playing a mix of Banjo, Fiddle, Whistle, Border Pipes, Small Pipes and Piano Accordion. The Burns Club bar will be open for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Under 18s welcome if accompanied. Please note we are up two flights of stairs in a traditional city centre tenement.
