I libri rilegati a fascicoli compaiono in Giappone nel periodo Heian: volumi raffinati, utilizzati per poesia, teatro Nō e letteratura autoctona. La tecnica di rilegatura di questi fascicoli consente un’apertura completa del libro ed è particolare perché, a differenza delle rilegature occidentali, non presenta nodi, eccezion fatta per quello centrale caratteristico. Il laboratorio è dedicato alla realizzazione di un quaderno in stile tetsuyousou, con rilegatura a dorso scoperto che segue lo schema tradizionale. In questo laboratorio di stampa con linoleum realizzerete un’incisione raffigurante uno yōkai, una creatura del folklore giapponese. Dopo una breve introduzione alla linoleografia, si passerà subito alla pratica: verrà realizzata una matrice, poi incisa e stampata. In Giappone questo rituale celebra la festa dei bambini del 5 maggio.
