Grampian Disability Sport, in partnership with Scottish Disability Sport are delighted to invite entries from across Scotland to the 2025 Grampian Games - Grampian Boccia Championships Price £5pp - 20% discount for GDS members Sunday 2nd June – Registration at 9:30 for 10:15am start at Aberdeen Sports Village A - Open Class Event for Players with a Physical DisabilityB - Open Class Event for Players with a Learning DisabilityC - Open Class Event for Players using Assistive Devices (Ramps)Registration will be from 9.30am and the event will start at 10:15am sharp. We will run a round robin competition in each section to allow players to experience more games. The Aberdeen Highland Games is a popular one day event attracting between 8,000-12,000 people annually. The event features a variety of family friendly entertainment including traditional Scottish Highland Games competitions, pipe band championships and solo piping competitions, a small fun fair, family entertainment including stage performances and free children’s activities as well as various catering outlets and a beer tent. The heavy competitions are only open to athletes with a valid registration to the Royal Scottish Highland Games Association (RSHGA). All athletes who pre-enter for the heavy events will receive a FREE competitor e-ticket. Pre entry to the heavy competitions will close on Wednesday 11th June 2025. Please note only one ticket can be sent per email address. On the day entries may be allowed subject to the number of pre-registered athletes and final decision by the Lead Heavy Judge. On the day entrants and anyone accompanying them are required to purchase a valid entry ticket (online or at the gate) to enter the Aberdeen Highland Games event site. No refunds will be given if there is no space available in their age category. Competitors with a heavy event competition e-ticket holders will be allowed early access to the games field at 9.45am through the competitors entrance. Competitors with a general entry tickets will gain access from 10.00am through the main entrance gate. On arrival all athletes must report to the competitors entry/check-in desk, that will be open from 9.45am, closing at 10.00am for Novice entrants and 12 noon for Heavy entrants. The Aberdeen Highland Games is a popular one day event attracting between 8,000-12,000 people annually. The event features a variety of family friendly entertainment including traditional Scottish Highland Games competitions, pipe band championships and solo piping competitions, a small fun fair, family entertainment including stage performances and free children’s activities as well as various catering outlets and a beer tent. The dance competitions are open to dancers registered with a dance association as well as non-registered dancers. Please make sure that the competing person is the name on the ticket entry. All dancers who pre-enter for the dance events will receive a FREE competitor e-ticket. All competitors under 18 years will be allowed one adult (parent/guardian) to accompany them through the competitors entry gate, with their e-ticket. Pre entry to the dance competitions will close on Wednesday 4th June 2025. Please note only one ticket can be sent per email address, if you have more than one child taking part please complete a separate application using a different email for each competitor. On the day entries may be allowed subject to the Dance Conveners discretion. On the day entrants and anyone accompanying them are required to purchase a valid entry ticket (online or at the gate) to enter the Aberdeen Highland Games event site. No refunds will be given if there is no space available in their age category. Teams who pre-enter for the tug of War will receive a FREE competitor e-ticket that covers entry for the whole team. Pre entry to the tug of War competitions will close on Wednesday 4th June 2025. Please note only one e-ticket will be sent, the ticket is for the whole team and all members must enter together. On the day entries may be allowed subject to the number of pre-entered teams and final decision by the Lead Tug of War Judge. On the day entry, team members and anyone accompanying them are required to purchase a valid entry ticket (online or at the gate) to enter the Aberdeen Highland Games event site. No refunds will be given if there is no space available in their age category. Teams with a Tug of War event competition e-ticket will be allowed early access to the games field at 9.45am through the competitors entrance.
