DOORS 7PM | SHOW 8PM Tired of swiping? In this dating experiment, men compete on stage for one lucky bachelorette, with the little caveat that the men can't speak. Through a series of games - which includes calling the boys' moms and unlocking their phones - we narrow it down to two men. Finally, we hear their voices, and the lucky winning man is sent with our bachelorette to the bar for an immediate date. Audience members wear wristbands according to their relationship status, and a wingcouple (who wear actual wings) helps those of you who are too shy to make a move. This show has been featured in LA Magazine, LAist, Thrillist, Time Out LA, CBS, and more. Created and hosted by Allison Goldberg Want to be in the show? The ReOrder is an abridged survey of the work of jeweler Alicia Goodwin and her eponymous jewelry brand, Lingua Nigra. Explore the archives of Lingua Nigra as we exhibit how the brand has evolved over the past 20+ years. On display will be work such as jewelry, product photographs and inspirational pieces. Explore a snippet of the work that inspires, such as photographs and drawings, to the jewelry that has evolved and the future of the brand that is Lingua Nigra. Alicia Goodwin Alicia Goodwin is a Chicago based jeweler who specializes in adding unique textures to her sculptural jewelry. With a background in Cultural Anthropology as well as a degree in Jewelry Design from New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, Alicia applies her knowledge of ancient techniques like reticulation and acid etching to her more contemporary designs. Her love of complex looking ceremonial jewelry created with minimal tools such as fire, sand and beeswax led her to truly admire the work throughout the Mesoamericas and the African diaspora. She honed her unique style while working for dozens of major jewelry companies in the fashion industry in New York City, learning the business ins and outs during the day, while creating at night. With almost two decades of experience behind her , she continues to create beautiful work with her eponymous brand, Lingua Nigra. NYCJW25: November 17 – 23, 2025 Each November, NYC Jewelry Week proudly presents ‘The Week,’ a 7-day celebration dedicated to the art of jewelry. Book Launch: W. David Marx presents Blank Space: A Cultural History of the Twenty-First Century In conversation with Emily Sundberg W. David Marx, longtime culture writer and author of Status and Culture and Ametora, launches his new book Blank Space , a revealing exploration of a quarter century of cultural stagnation. Over the past twenty-five years, he argues, pop culture has suffered from a perplexing lack of reinvention. We’ve entered a cultural “blank space”— an era when reboots, rehashes, and fads flourish, while bold artistic experimentation struggles to gain recognition. In this ambitious cultural history, Marx guides us through the blur of the twenty-first century so far, from the Obama era to the rise of K-pop, from Paris Hilton to the Marvel cinematic universe, from Beyoncé and Taylor Swift to . . . Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. Combining sociological, economic, and political insights with a deep dive into art, street culture, fashion, and technology, Blank Space dissects the rise of profit-driven, formulaic trends and the shifting cultural norms that often prioritize going viral over innovation. Writer, director, and the founder of the daily business newsletter Feed Me Emily Sundberg joins Marx for a reading and conversation, before an audience Q&A and signing.
