Hustle & Heart Pickleball Tournament | Belknap Park
Jun 19, 2025 (UTC-4)
Grand Rapids
Get ready to show off your skills on the court for Treadstone Mortgage’s 4th annual pickleball tournament! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just picking up a paddle, this year’s event is open to everyone in the community who loves connection, philanthropy, and of course, dinking and smashing.
Compete in friendly matches while supporting a great cause. All proceeds of this year’s event supports the 2026 Hustle & Heart Scholarship Fund — helping local students achieve their dreams of making in impact in our community. In 2025, we’re awarding $20,000 in scholarships to students, and in 2026, our goal is to double that impact.
It’s more than a tournament — it’s a fantastic opportunity to network, have fun, and give back to the community. We can't wait to see you there!
BEGINNERS’ BRACKET
New to pickleball? No Problem. Join the beginners’ bracket for light instruction followed by fun, low-pressure matches against other new players. This bracket runs at the same time as the competitive tournament. Level 2.5 and below should enjoy and have friendly competition in this bracket.
TOURNAMENT PLAY
The Hustle & Heart Pickleball Tournament will feature doubles partner play. Sign up with a partner or as a single player to be paired with someone of a similar skill level. Each team will play 6-8 games against others at a matching level. Last year we had players between 2.5-5.0 and did our best to create evenly matched games.
Rain or shine, the game goes on! In the event of a rainy day, we’ll move indoors to the Grand Rapids Racquet Club for a condensed version of the tournament.
There will be no refunds on tickets. If you are unable to attend, someone else is welcome to take your spot, and your ticket cost will be donated.

Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk - Direct Care | Hope Network Education Center
Jun 11, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Grand Rapids

Over 30,000 people die by suicide each year, the equivalent of one major airliner filled with passengers crashing every two days. Hundreds of thousands of people are treated in hospital emergency departments each year following a suicide attempt.
AMSR-Direct Care Training (AMSR-DC) is designed to familiarize you with the AMSR approach and the risk formulation, giving you the understanding and skills to assist in the treatment of those at risk for suicide. You'll learn how you can help identify and support individuals with suicide risk by using the suicide risk identification, assessment, and management competencies taught in the AMSR-Direct Care Outpatient training.
The AMSR-DC Outpatient Training workshop prepares non-clinical staff working in outpatient care settings to provide confident and empathetic care to patients at risk of suicide. This is a companion training, meant to be used in settings where clinical providers have already attended the AMSR-Outpatient Training and are implementing the AMSR risk formulation.

Who should attend?
Direct care professionals who work in outpatient treatment settings—such as case managers, care navigators, recovery coaches, direct support professionals, and peer specialists—who understand care plans and risk levels are better able to support patients in care. AMSR-Direct Care Outpatient training ensures that treatment teams of clinicians and direct care staff can speak the same risk assessment and management language to provide consistent, effective care.
Cost?
$50/per person (includes training manual). Credit cards or checks accepted (Checks can be made and sent to Hope Network - 3075 Orchard Vista Dr. SE Grand Rapids, MI 49546). Payments not accepted onsite.
